Mahesh Bhatt has worked with Shiney Ajuha in two films; Gangster and Woh Lamhe. The later was believed to be Bhatt’s real life love story with yesteryear actress Parveen Babi.
When asked by a CNN-IBN correspondent about his first reaction, when he got news of the Shiney Ahuja incident, Bhatt said “My reaction was shame. Deep shame, the crime that he is accused of is rape, that too rape of a helpless, 18-year-old domestic help.”
Bhatt also believes the actor is heading for big trouble if the rape is proved “If it is backed by the medical reports and also by the confession that he has given then he is headed for a big, big trouble.”
On asked about his previous interactions with the actor, he said “Shiney was a charming man, very well behaved person. We all have our idiosyncrasies and we all have our mood swings. I spoke to him just day before Sunday (the day the incident occured), and he appeared very sane.”
