Reacting to criticism over his similarities between his upcoming film ‘Tubelight’ and the Hollywood film ‘Little Boy’, Filmmaker Kabir Khan has said ‘Little Boy’ was officially credited in the teaser of the Hindi film.
He also said the story and treatment of ‘Tubelight’ is completely different from ‘Little Boy’.
“It is in the credits of Tubelight as Official Story Adaptation. But it’s just the seed of an idea. Everything else has been completely changed in Tubelight” Kabir Khan was quoted as saying.
Little Boy is a story about a child who sets out on a journey to find his father who has gone on war, but ends up giving lessons on humanity to everyone around him. Salman’s character in ‘Tubelight’ is said to be based on the child, with the backdrop of the 1962 Sino-Indian war.
‘Tubelight’ is scheduled to release in theatres on June 23.

The problem is not tat it is adapted from little boy .the main problem is it does not appeal to its core audience tat is masses and to much extent even classes of multiplex era…plus it is showing romance of an Indian ( though he is jihadi in real) with Chinese actress and everybody knows wt are the relations between india and China. ..so this movie deserves to be released in maximum 100 or 150 cinemas.it should have a restricted release .it does not deserve to be released in much screens…shame kabir khan puppy shame.
Indicine has turned sides.so creating negativity abt TB just based on teaser.why so criticism as they have given vredit to original. Why media is hell nent on seeing fall of salman khan is beyond me. Let tje movie come,then bash it.why making assumptions now. Ever since reshma shetty has quit i am oberving lots of negative article on salman. Criticism of this teaser is a part of it.

Even now after Kabir clear all the rumors that it is not a remake and they have just taken the seed of an Idea from original movie, still few media and haters trying to spread negativity around Tubelight in Twitter and calling it remake…….
But I know even with this so much hatred, Tubelight will be an ATBB, because Neutral Audience have complete faith in Salman Khan and Kabir Khan……So keep barking haters…..

I have checked all the trailers which @TIGER- the real king mentioned (and trust me the list is mean big Tiger have not mention all names) in his comment and trust me 90% are exactly same and 10% have so many similarities, and for none of the movie Srk give the credit to its original movie…..if you don’t believe then go and check yourself…..
And instead of shouting on Salman fans 1st look at what srk fans are doing, Tubelight is not even release yet, then how can they say its a remake, even Kabir Khan clear this, that the story is completely different……
An eye opener reality for SRK fans, the below two statements (from Indicine) sums up everything:
Any producer can book any date, but holding on to the date and getting a solo release – like Sultan did last year, is what we call true star power. Even next year’s Eid has no announcement as yet, because most in the industry know that the weekend belongs to Salman.
But it’ll have to be the SRK films that’ll have to move. We doubt the makers of ‘Toilet:EPK’ will move now.
So accept the reality and stop behaving childish.

I am laughing on these losers whose idols are light years behind from Bhai enough and actually the real culprits in stealing ideas without giving due credit. One with still 134 crs as Highest grosser of his career which was a south remake and another keep plagiarizing from various movies without even giving credit (actually a white collar ch0r) mix it like a cocktail and present as originally. FAN was shamelessly inspired from Hollywood movie THE FAN and was never mentioned or given credit. Let Eid 2017 come they will start crying with same excuse of Little Boy which got several negative reviews and was not a big grosser in Hollywood. However Salman will shut their mouths again like he has been doing from years !!!!!!!!!!!

I have said it from the beginning. it’s not an official remake. It’s an official adaptation, which means they have taken ideas and storyline to an extent from that movie with a completely screenplay. “Based on…..” implies adaptation.
Had others been in their shoes, they would have done it without buying copyrights and giving due credits to the original film. That’s what Salman-Kabir combo is. Honest with their works!
And yes, the kind of efforts Salman has put in the movie is pretty obvious in the teaser. It will be another flawless performance from Salman after BB and Sultan!
I remember haters were bashing Bajrangi for its title and unimpressive teaser. Kabir was being bashed and Bajrangi was being labelled as Jai Ho 2.
And you know what happened. I blindly trust in Salman-Kabir combo.
Tubelight: from its teaser and due to its director, we can conclude that it would be content rich. As it is a Salman film, it will be high on entertainment, too. Salman never disregards the factor of entertainment in his films. And Salman is a megastar.
So, Content + Entertainment + Stardom = BO Dhamaka this Eid
I can assure you all Tubelight, too, is gonna surely go past 300 Crores. If its content is appreciated, it will cross 400 Crores!!!

@Reema, Media including @Indicine trying to pull down Salman and wanting to see his downfall are not new phenomena in Bollywood. They have always tried it, are trying it and will be trying it. The harder they try, the higher Salman rises.
And yes, you have rightly pointed out a noteworthy thing why a section of media including @indicine and some social media people have started negativity around Tubelight and around Salman around the same time he and his manager, Reshma Shetty, have parted ways. However, it may not seem a surprise to anyone who are well aware of how PR firms and Celebrity Management Companies work.
Indeed, they are the paid sections of media and social media trolls who are trying to sabotage Tubelight although appreciations of its teaser on YouTube and Social media tell a different thing.
I still wonder on what ground @Indicine claimed ‘Tubelight teaser has received mixed or negative responses from audiences and its one of less received teasers of a Salman Khan film’ when it uses ‘YouTube & Social Media’ as parameters to judge teasers/trailers of other films.
IMO, I think only the teasers of ETT, Kick and Sultan (all of which have action elements in them) have stood out tall among teasers of all other Salman in recent years. But the BO earnings of his films (except Jai Ho, a loud film yet a hundred crore film in 2014 released during non-holiday period with a very low TKP) were indifferent irrespective to its teasers or trailers. This time, it will be the same. So, Tubelight will be humongous and media like Indicind will have no place to hide its face.
@Challa_original, @Sayar & others, tum logon ke yeh logic kya, ghaas khane chala jaata hai, when your fan mates say Tubelight is a copy of Little Boy even when its director has clarified about it and the film is not even released yet, let alone somebody watching it???
Teaser might be crap but the movie will be blockbuster and anything below 300 cr is disappointment.
