Lipstick Under My Burkha Trailer

The theatrical trailer of the controversial ‘Lipstick Under My Burkha’ is out. Taking advantage of the Censor Board of Film Certification’s refusal to certify the film for theatrical release, the makers have highlighted the controversy and made it a part of the trailer itself.

The film is explores the sexual lives and desires of women of different age groups. We have a woman shooting her own sex scene and threatening the guy of publicly shaming him if he happens to leave her. The trailer also has sequences of sexual escapades of a older woman.

Lipstick Under My Burkha stars Konkona Sensharma, Ratna Pathak Shah, Aahana Kumra, Plabita Borthakur and Vikrant Massey.

It was refused certification by the Pankaj┬áNihalani-headed CBFC. The makers then appealed to the Film Certification Appellate Tribunal (FCAT), which overruled the censor board’s ruling, granting the film theatrical release rights.

Lipstick Under My Burkha releases in theatres on July 21. Check out the trailer:
