Last Flop of Bollywood Actors

Below is a Top 12 list of some of the most bankable stars in Bollywood. We have ordered them based on their films that last failed at the box-office.

  • 12. Abhishek Bachchan (Players in January 2012) – Abhishek has been going through a bad patch. He has a few promising films lined up for release though – Bol Bachchan, Dhoom 3 and Dostana 2.
  • 11. Ajay Devgan (Rascals in October 2011) – Undoubtedly enjoying the best phase of his career. Apart from Rascals, Ajay has delivered blockbusters like Golmaal 3, Rajneeti and Singham.
  • 10. Shahid Kapoor (Mausam in September 2011) – Shahid is badly in need of a big hit. His last film to recover investment for all it’s distributors was Jab We Met in 2007.
  • 9. Saif Ali Khan (Aarakshan in August 2011) – Agent Vinod is crucial for Saif, whose last hit was Imtiaz Ali’s Love Aaj Kal.
  • 8. Akshay Kumar (Patiala House in February 2011) – There was a time when every Akshay film worked, but the success ratio of his films has dropped alarmingly in the last couple of years. He’s still one of the most popular actors in the country, but bad choice of films has also significantly decreased the opening numbers at the box-office. Films like Rowdy Rathore and Housefull 2 should push him back into the top league.
  • 7. Imran Khan (Break Ke Baad in November 2010) – Imran has delivered 4 back-to-back hits in Delhi Belly, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and Ek Main Aur Ek Tu.
  • 6. Hrithik Roshan (Guzaarish in November 2010) – Hrithik has more than made up for his two disasters in 2010, with two mega-hits Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Agneepath.
  • 5. Emraan Hashmi (Crook in October 2010) – We cannot emphasize more on ‘under-rated’. Emraan has been consistently delivering hits ever since he made his debut with Footpath. Films like Murder 2, The Dirty Picture were two of the biggest grossers of his career.
  • 4. Salman Khan (London Dreams in October 2009) – Veer didn’t do too well the box-office, but didn’t ‘Flop’ either. Since 2010, Salman has hit a purple patch with blockbusters like Ready, Bodyguard and Dabangg.
  • 3. Ranbir Kapoor (Saawariya in November 2007) – Ranbir stumbled on debut, but apart from Rocket Singh (below average), all his films have done reasonably well. Rajneeti and Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani are his biggest hits.
  • 2. Shahrukh Khan (Paheli in June 2005) – Since 2005, every single SRK film has managed atleast ‘HIT’ status. Films like Om Shanti Om, Chak De India and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi were ‘Blockbusters’.
  • 1. Aamir Khan (Mela in January 2000) – Aamir takes the top spot. His last film that was rejected at the box-office was more than 12 years ago! Mangal Pandey didn’t do too well at the box-office, but due to it’s bumper opening managed ‘Average’ business. Since then Aamir has delivered hits that have also received tremendous critical acclaim. 3 Idiots and Ghajini were record-breaking blockbusters.

  • Salman khan has most all time blockbuster.indicene please give the list . Maine pyar kiya ,hum apke hai kaun, kuch kuch hota hai, dabangg, ready, bodyguard. Bakri khan ko to salman ki wajah se atbb mili.kyonki Kuch kuch hota hai me salman tha.agar salman ki jaagah koi aur hota to wo film super hit hoti.salman rocks

  • Srk at 2 doesnt seems gud..!his latest films RA1 n DON2 dint do well at the boxoffice..esp RA1..has nthn in it to say atleast a hit..its only a musical hit!

  • Amir Khan’s last flop was DHOBI GHAAT. I know that it was not a commercial film but it crashed very badly at box office. So the top spot goes to SRK!!… :D

  • srk done more film than aamir and mangal panday is flop and paheli goes to oscar so srk is best and also dhobi ghat is flop jk

  • @indicine this is not good, 3-4 days earlier you admitted that aamir’s last flop was mangal panday and posted he shares the record for the last flop with SRK and now you are posting this article! What do you want to tell by changing on your own words!

  • Indicine rply,,,Guzaarish was one of the most awesome movies,,nd get huge critical acclaim,,bt it was just for classes nd restricted aaplealing,,nd lack of promotions,,these all facts makes flop to Guzaarish,,is am right

  • Where was Salman Khan before wanted? He wasn’t near Akshay Kumar too that time.and now after remaking south hit films,he is on top, what rubbisH! U know his HAHK was his biggest grosser and was released in 1994..it took him 16 years to break that collection with Dabanng, plus the difference between ticket rates of 1990s and after 2005,he should have easily do it..SRK has been the best and always will be.

  • Classic example of Indian fans. This shows how much Khan worship exists in India.

I came across this post and find it amazing that an Indian film is being appreciated by an outsider but some Aamir haters or to be truly spoken SRK fans are posting bad comments just to make it look bad in the eyes of those who have not watched it. Read this forum and you will believe me.

  • Guys one thing is clear that srk earns more bcs he gives so many movies hits…and amir do less movies..salman given so many flops…think now

  • Given that..Aamir..does few movies..
    4-5 in decade..
So its not Sooooooo worthy to include him..

    also..

@INDICINE check out..the Boxoffice India’s list of top worldwide actors..SRK topped..

  • paheli as well as swades were not commercial cinema which were not targetted at masses but were critically acclaimed, also paheli was nominated for oscars so all srk haters s**k on that!! Do sallu has guts to do art films, the answer is no!! Sallu ko sirf south ki remake karna aata hai kyonki yehi uski aukat hai.

  • @neelpatel::::
It doesn’t matter how many movie aamir khan did what matters is what kind of movie he did and how he made each of his movie different from eachother
Indeed Aamir khan has done least movie than many of the actors…then also he has been able to make every people his followers…that’s what he do…THIS IS CALLED “THE ACTOR”

  • paheli is not a commercial movie like dobi ghat…. and in dobi ghat aamir got more screen presence so why dont it be his last flop

  • dear mr raj i agree with you but all actor do diffrence film in last few month or year srk done chak de oso rnbdj my name is khan don klnk paheli all pr films are diffrent so you dont say aamir is only actor who done diffrent? bye the way aamir is here because his filmi backgrount and srk is here because his self and telent.

  • @indicine

This list is not fair becouse even as i think RANBIR KAPOOR who is 4 years old in industry have more films than all AAMIR KHAN fims in last decade so AK must exclude this list coz he is not actor who appears regulary on screen and he doesn’t give back to back hits in a period of 2-3 month like SRK , SALMAN & HR.

    • @Husseinou, there was a gap of 1 year between Taare Zameen Par, Ghajini and 3 Idiots. All were blockbusters. In 2006, two releases months between each other (Fanna, Rang De) both were hits. So even if Aamir has 2 or more releases per year, be rest assured, all will open well.

These days most stars have one release every year, except Akshay and Salman. Since Paheli in 2005, SRK had about 8 releases in 7 years. Hrithik 7 in 7 years. Average is about 1 per year :)

  • i think indicine also forget main aur misses khanna..it is biggest flop of all time by an actor but did not mention here..pathetic…i think they also forget about the film

  • for me the top stars would be…..
    1) shahid kapoor
    2)hrithik roshan
    3)ranbir kapoor
    4)ranveer singh
    5)srk/salman/aamir
    6)akshay kumar
    7)saif ali khan
    8) ajay devgn/imran khan
    9)john abraham
    10)emraan hashmi
    11)abhishek bachchan
    12)bobby deol/arjun rampal/neil nitin mukesh

i really like all the senior actors in the indusrty such as srk, salman khan, aamir khan, saif ali khan, akshay kumar, etc. but for some reason i think the indian audience isnt accepting/appreciating or even noticing the younger actors star power and acting skills such as shahid kapoor, ranbir kapoor, imran khan, jackky bhagnani, emraan hashmi, hrithik roshan, abhishek bachchan, neil nitin mukesh, etc. i know that hrithik roshan and ranbir kapoor are really big nowadays but they are still not put into the same league as the other actors.

  • @indicinde wt the hell is this bkri khan’s last flop was billu totaly flop movie .y dont u count it?he was a lead actor in it how could u say that jst irfan khan was protagonist both were had equal screan presence.the movie was about three charaktrs bkri khan, irfan khan nd lara dutta .2ndly tell me if irfan khan has more screen presence on the othrhand bkri khan has more songs on it 4-5 songs nd irfan hardly had 1 or 2 songs in it bkri khan managed equal time wd songs special appearance is guest appearance not 90 mint appearance wd 4-5 songs is guest appearance
