Kites Release date postponed!

Seriously, what’s going on? After 3 Idiots and My Name Is Khan, it looks like the only other big release of the year, Hrithik Roshan’s Kites has been pushed to December or early next year.

According to Times of India, the release date has been postponed due to several reasons.

1) Differences between producer Rakesh Roshan and director Anurag Basu, over the love making scenes in the film. While Rakesh wants the streamy scenes between Hrithik and Barabara Mori to be chopped off, Anurag is hell bent on retaining it in the final copy.

2) Rakesh Roshan who wants to release the film worldwide, on the same day in both languages, hasn’t found a suitable Hollywood distributor. And although Big Pictures are the worldwide distributors the film is expected to release in many more countries through a Hollywood studio. The search and the process is taking a lot of time.

3) The background score remains incomplete.

When contacted Rakesh Roshan denied the rift between him and Anurag Basu, and also went on to say that the release date would be finalized once the first copy is ready.

Diwali looks impossible now and fi the film is indeed postponed to next year, it would be one of the worst years for Bollywood fans in India and around the world. No releases for Shahrukh, Aamir and Hrithik.. can it possibly get worse than this? Disappointing..!
