Kismat Konnection, as the title says is all about Kismat. The movie marks the return of veteran director Aziz Mirza (Yes Boss, Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, Chalte Chalte, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani). The one common feature in every Aziz Mirza film has been Shahrukh Khan but for the role of Raj Malhotra in Kismat Konnection, Aziz wanted someone about 15 years younger to SRK. Shahid Kapoor was roped in; Vidya Balan was signed opposite Shahid. There was a lot of curiosity around the lead pair, for most believed Vidya looked much older to Shahid. So does their chemistry work? Is Aziz Mirza in form after a long break from direction? Is Kismat Konnection worth a watch?
Before the review, the story of Kismat Konnection… Raj Malhotra (Shahid Kapoor), an architect was a topper in studies, sports, acting and almost everything in college. His friends believe he would grace the cover of the Times Magazine in 3 years. 5 years pass by and Raj is still struggling for his first big break.
Frustrated with his Kismat, Raj meets Hasina Bano Jaan (Juhi Chawla), who promises to free him from all his worries. Haseena says there is a force that could prove to be his lucky charm; he just needs to recognize it. Enter Priya (Vidya Balan), his lucky charm. Everything that Raj touches with Priya by his side turns into gold. With Priya, Raj believes he can fulfill his dreams. Soon Raj manages to secure his dream contract with Mr Gill (Om Puri), for the construction of a shopping mall. There are 2 issues though, Priya is fighting for the survival of a community centre and the shopping mall is set to be built on the centre…
Kismat Konnection Review
Kismat Konnection is a light entertainer, a simple love story without glitz, glamour and item numbers. But the major problem with Kismat Konnection is its pace, it gets terribly boring in most parts of the first half and some parts of the second. The music, key to a movie of this genre, is below average and mostly breaks the flow of the film. Also the chemistry between the lead pair is disappointing. Except for one moment on the cruise, the love story is filled with dull moments that are neither exciting nor does it make you feel for the characters.
Unlike Aziz Mirza’s previous movies like Yes Boss and Chalte Chalte which had just the right combination of romance and comedy, Kismat Konnection lacks both. Few glaring flaws in the story, Raj a struggling architect owns a comfortable luxuriously furnished house in Canada, a car along with a super large LCD Television. Not bad for struggler eh? The story in the second half too is hard to digest, especially the character of Boman Irani (Yes, he has a small special appearance).
Shahid Kapoor finally succeeds in looking and acting like SRK of the 90s. His dialogue delivery and body language were always similar and compared to the superstar, but here he could be easily mistaken as a almost perfect duplicate. You gotta give it to Shahid though; he manages to quite easily pull off the made-for-SRK role. Vidya Balan although hotter than her previous movies, needs to shed those extra pounds quickly. Quite frankly, the gorgeous Juhi Chawla looks a few years younger to Vidya!! Talking of Juhi, she’s brilliant in a 10 minute special appearance. Vishal Malhotra is great. Om Puri is good. Himani Shivpuri does what she always does, nothing unique in her 50th (just a guess) Punjabi role.
Overall, there is nothing much in Kismat Konnection that warrants a trip to the nearby movieplex. If you must watch this Aziz Mirza movie, go for it with absolutely no expectations. At the box-office, a, open week and no release last week would result in a decent opening.

Great review of Kismat Connection
I never expected much from the movie… it was more like boring types than great. Aziz Mirza movies that i have loved are Yes Boss and Chalte Chalte.
Aziz should go back to SRK only SRK is best for him. Shahid Kapoor should act with Priyanka and Amrita.. Vidya is too old for him…

Kismat Konnection is an AWESOME MOVIE!! PEOPLE need to get over Aziz Mirza and the whole SRK thing.. Shahid does deserve credit for his finest performace. Vidya on the other hand delivers a great performance due to her simplicity and Vishal Malhotra (Shahids best friend ) reminds you off the Ishq Vishk chemistry that allowed the audiences to role with laughter. His spontaneity especially in the Batra and Gills protest scene is SUPERB! ..Hemani Shivpuri who comes in very few scenes of the movie makes her presence felt with the remarkable performance she has given. Juhi Chawla is a must watch and reminds you of how much we do miss seeing her on screen with her charming smile and commendable acting ability. ON THE whole Kismat Konnection does CONNECT with the audience even if thick headed critics like Rajeev Masand and Mayank Shekhar don’t think so. This is one movie you should go with your family or loved one for it’s simplicity cause that is the USP of this movie. ANd for people who think this movie is boring they definitely do not seem to understand the concept of LOVE or are just to frustrated in their own lives since they don’t have someone special. Romance is for people who want it not who crib about it! A MUST WATCH!.

U obviously don’t have anyone in ur life…which is why u probably didnt like the movie..the concept of love which is EVIDENT IN THE MOVIE considering it is called KISMAT KONNECTION is applaudible because it is so simple and yet so thoughtful. THe romantic moments between Shahid and Vidya allow you to celebrate LOVE in its most beautiful form that is simplicity, I guess you didnt like it suniel because there are no cliches in this movie like a fight scene between the hero and villain for the girl or the hero jumping off the building to prove how much he loves his heroine. Kismat Konnection KONNECTS WITH the audience because it enhances sweet moments to beautiful ones minus the melo drama. In short, GET THE POINT….KIsmat Konnection is LOVE in its most realistic portrayal…Aziz Mirza has done better than before…He has definitely NOT lost his touch…

the major draw for me about the movie was the fact that shahid kapoor was in it. he does quite well actually and it’s sad that too many times ppl feel that he has to compare to someone, srk, in this instance. truthfully i am a huge fan of srk and absolutely adore him, but frankly shahid hold his own quite well. there mayb resemblence ofcourse coz these are superstars that we are speaking about…ppl have grown up watching them and ofcourse there would be similarities…like the main character from love story 2050 seriously looked like hritik roshan and come on did no one really think that imran from jaane tu ya jaane na reflected bits and pieces of his uncle amir khan…there are bound to be comparisons but we shouldn;t push it too far…u go shahid..fighting…

Its an indian remake of the lindsay lohan’s ” JUST MY LUCK “. The concept of gud luck or bad luck in kismat connection has been entirely stolen from JUST MY LUCK with some bollywood mixup. Vidya was too heavy to tolerate. It would b better if aziz mirza cast a younger co-star for shahid
Shahid was good, but the stolen script and bulky vidya were the real culprits.
Apne indian directors kabhi nahi sudhrenge, Script hollywood se hi churayenge.
Beware , another hollywood remake is ready for release.

What is so realistic about this love story Nisha?? Falling in love because she is his lucky charm? Isnt that selfish? Then cheating the person to fulfill his dreams.. he made up for it in the end but does it matter?? Also vidya proving to be lucky for him everytime was not the problem… the realism of the sequences was the problem
A waving man who happens to be there everytime by the side of the river and eventually turns out to be the owner of the same company? Can that possibly happen in real life?
That punjabi wife of Om Puri shouting loud in a office premise? Would the owner of a multi million dollar company listen to his wife’s stupid decisions? Then suddenly vidya seems like her own daughter who lives in london!! how stupid was that

If you want to watch something very realistic go rent a DVD of Chalte Chalte.. from the same director but much more realistic and most important the love story worked…. you feel for the characters when they seperate.. here you feeling like dozing off

I decided not to believe your reviews indicine team, after watching JTYJN which really dissapointed me. I still didn’t watch this movie so I can’t write any comment about it.
What will encourage me to watch it is Vidya Balan as she’s a good actress. Shahid is not my favourite as a hero for any movie, he still has a long.. long way to go. He needs to be little taller ( so Shahid.. do some tuff workout that u increase your height). He’s short and look younger than V. Balan so they don’t match on screen. Shahid needs a short costar like Amrita Rao to work with.

Umm why did you say vidya needs to shed some pounds off? She looks absolutely stunning in this film and does not perpetuate the common stereotype of “thin is in.” Instead of following others she has her own style and I think we should appreciate that.

If something that noteworthy in the movie its Vidya and her fiance Amit Varma. Both the actors gives a brilliant performance and gives you a little break from Shahid’s monotonus copying of SRK. Inspite of his negative character one may feel sympathetic to Karan Malhotra (Amit Varma) because of the excellent execution. Juhi does her job well and Vishal, insprite of such a long screen pressence could not draw ones attention.

Once again Suniel, the movie goes way beyond arguments. Considering it is CALLED KISMAT KONNECTION (focusing on the word KISMAT) ,.,,,It is Shahid’s Kismat when he meets Vidya and It is Vidya’s KISMat When her waving friend turns out to be Boman Irani. I agree Chalte Chalte was a superb movie but so is this one becasue you can relate to the people in this story cause they replace people in your everyday life….which is one the movie is a MUST WATCH…and as for getting overly critical of this movie in terms of logic…eevryone knows Shahid and Vidya will meet…but its how they are going to get there..its the journey that makes it realistic…it was wrong of Shahid to lie to Vidya…like obviously where would the conflict arise from otherwise>?> ANd besides no script is complete withoout conflict involved…ANd when your so desperate to get any job because you have been struggling for five years…and finally u realize your lucky charm is a girl you would do everything to keep her…Its as simple as when you go threw tons of bad luck you are looking for somthing to protect you along the way and that is Vidya for Shahid in the movie. THe confession in the end makes you understand their KISMAT KONNECTION even better which is when, (like i said earlier) celebrate LOve just for what it is…Kismat Konnection IS LOVE WITHOUT TOO MUCH MELO DRAMA….A definite must watch….

I have read very interesting conversations between Suneil and Nisha. I liked the way both have perceived the movie, but that’s life. What looks like a half empty glass to one makes it is half full glass to other. Both of them could be right or can go wrong. The important thing is to respect views of each other. Everyone should be allowed to voice their opinion. Nothing wrong in it. If my opinion differs from others, let it be. But to have a face to face fight does not seem a good option.
Kismat Konnection is a good movie which could have been better. We as a country do beleive in deramatization and since AZIZ is makinng movie to all, he must have had his own way to make it liked by all those upper class and balcony folks.
Just don’t like the parts, which are weak in the movie but cherish tose which are wonderful.

Suniel: If u just want to know why I didn’t like JTYJN, read my comments in JTYJN review and on LS2050. They are many, then u wil know why.
As for Shahid.. he’s improving but will take him time to look more matured and if with some workout he couldn’t increase his height, as I heard that there are specific exercises for it, he can wear a high heal shoes for men with pants which cover them. He’s an actor and it’s not nice that his costar looks taller than him.
And Vidya looks in her 30’s, looks older than him. Vidya matches with Akshay Kumar & Khanna, SRK, Saif and the best costar for her is Shiney. That’s my opinion.

Hi NISHA & SUNIEL, iam never into the writing of reviews for the movies but i do watch movies and review it to my friends and they will agree with my review after watching the movie.
Now the argument between Nisha & suniel made me write this comments on this movie KISMET KONNECTION which i saw first day first show. As per nisha’s comments she believes that its about Love and the konnection between the kismat and according to suniel its just a crap and nothing else.So here i would like to clear the doubts of Nisha and Suniel for arguing on a movie which dont even have a class of being an ARGUING TOPIC. I have seen this movie with my girlfriend and we are deeply in love with eachother, but after seeing the movie she got so bored becoz the movie was so boring and definately not expected from the director of a class like Aziz Mirza, i have not mised a single movie of his, coz his movies are so real and really connects to real life. But in this movie he has disappointed a lot. I agree with suniel that Aziz mirza has lost hi Magic Touch or rather i would say that he cant give his touch with out SRK. Iam awaiting for the comments from NISHA and SUNIEL on this. Hope they dont mind my Opinion on this movie.

Yesterday i went to regal theatre for watching the movie kk along with my friends . After reaching regal 18 ,nj i got confused little bit by seeing the jokers face (heath ledger - the dark knight fame) . So myself and some of my friends went to batman movie and others went to kk . I came out of the theatre with a pretty satisfied face and we started seaching the other fellows all over the theatre . After some time we realised the fact that they already left the theatre 1 hr back .Right now i am not feeling to write anything more than this about this movie .

Shahid did enact his role well. However there was no need for Mirza the director to make him enact
some scenes prior to interval that were SRK copycat. Shahid can perform in his own style and he is talented. However Vidya Balan looked awful not only that she looks too old to Shahid’s boyish looks but her dressing style. She needs someone good to help her with her dressing in movies. Toronto was well
showcased. I found the movie acceptable ( not boring )

Saheed kapoor is definitely a charming actor so also Vidya.They make a good combination, but possibly Kareena is at the back of their minds while acting for Kismat Konnection.He does not forget her and she remembers Kareena with Saheed.That is why they are not able to come out naturally. Its a full boring movie.. And waste my time.. Now a days ppl are not intrested in sensible movies. They just want to make a masala but from last 2 year director r just makin films for sake of jus completing films.. If we can see dat movie is borin dan director also knows dat its a boring.. Script is maha bakwas… But its a musical hit.. I love all d songs. Atleast songs can jusitfy ur money otherwise u r totally sleepy after second half. .U r havin problem in sleepin at night plz watch Kismat Konnection.. ppl r attracted only coz of promos n songs n obvius Shahid … This is my First comment in this website.. I promise dat from now i will comment of each movie as coz its a gud practice of savin money which is wasted by watching bakwas. Jus 4 example it saves my money for Lovestory 2050.. Its an average movie….so please dont expect too much out of it…like i did…and then ull just be disspointed….Theres nothing new about the movie..except about the kismat part…and that also they just overdo it…hindi movies…just dont know where to stop…they can just go on n on…like the last bit was sucha drag…all unnecessary things…which…all hindi movies..wanna show….Some good things about the movie is the comedy….some of the cute love scenes bw..shahid and vidya…..and…thats about it…otherwise…its just another hindi..movie……just dont expect…anything….as they say..and ull be happy after watching it….coz..the movie…missed something..i was not complectely..engrossed..like i was in jaane tu…for some reason!!! That makes it clear… :)

Kismat Konnection is getting momentum. I rank this movie as 3.5 out of 5.
Sahid has his one style and due to his talency and excelence performance make him an emerging superstar into bollywood. The talency made him what he is now not because copying SRK. Instead SRK always to some extent copies Big B.
Music is too good. In part of music it surpasses JTYJN.
To some extent, some where something lacks in script and presentation to maintain sponteneity but all in all it is good movie and wise use of money to watch it.

SHAHID was the hottest in this movie ever
and Vidya was sooo pretty; I thought the combo of them were great, their hair cuts were superb
not to mention Atif Aslam’s songs. THey are breath-taking-love songs
THis movie deserves more than 5 stars, its funny, romantic, it has a great plot, and a very simple resolution
I like the fact that it didn’t have item numbers

Now this time indicine team.. I totally agree with your review. I watched it on line.. I didn’t get bored and it’s a passtime movie similar to all Aziz Mirza’s movies (but his best, for me, was Chalte Chalte) and what irritates really in KK is the following:
Shahid & Viidya - zero match ( she looks like his aunt!)
Vidya’s acting is poor ( she needs some expression on her face, while she’s sad, she needs to improve her acting and to be more stylish.. she was stylish only in the last song, when movie ends and needs some workout and melt the fats in her body)
About Shahid, he’s improving, he’s better than before ( he just needs to be “Shahid” and not “Shahruk” as he copies SRK 100% in his body language, face expression in the 1st half of the movie, but not in his dancing).
Overall, it’s not a bad movie, u can watch it if u r bored and got nothing to do.

no i am disagree with this indicine team ,they re jotting just the negatives terms of movie…ppl cannot except more in Aziz mirza movie… i dont think its different from his other love oriented one character based movie..only problem with this movie was script….., in real life loads of ppl have odd matches i dont think shahid and vidya were too bad as couple but definitely she have to improve her style… why ppl are comparing shahid with SRK.. i am not getting a point .. they have there own style . shahid has all qualities which is important for actor.. let me remind these ppl his height is enough to be actor .if you have a good height and personalities why dont you try beside giving other comments

I have never read a sooo stupid and fake movie review before!!!!.. Why can’t u ever say something nice about a film?!. I’ve read many movie reviews here, and sorry to dissapoint u, but u guys are totally fake! U lie so much!!.. I LOVED Kismet Konnection. It was a wonderful movie, with a quite new script.! Shahid has ALWAYS been my favourite star, but he was brilliant in this film!. Vidya Balan as usual, was quite simple and sweet. Her acting has improved a lot since her first film!. Juhi Chawla was good too, but I dunno why u ppl give her so much importance. She had a very small role, so why do we give her so much importance?.. She was good, okey..nothing more than that.. I think u guys should focus a lil bit more on the leading stars in this film. . And yes, why do u guys keep saying that Shahid copied Shahrukh Khan?!.. Why do u keep comparing actors with each other?!.. No one in this world is like each other.. Everybody is different from every angle!.. STOP COMPARING ACTORS!!!!!!!!
Shahid and Vidya’s chemistry on screen wasn’t that bad! They looked good together!.. Especially in the song, Bakhuda tum hi ho<3

Shona.. just chill chill. just chill.. I think this time Indicine Team wrote a review which is identical with the movie, I saw the movie on line, on a small screen as u know, but didn’t u notice that Shahid is really acting like Shahrukh?! It’s obvious, but Harman didn’t copy Hrithik 100%.. no, only in his dancing in the 1st song of LS2050. I admired Harman ’cause he paid a big effort to do this movie as a debutant, he really deserves best debutant award this year ( that’s if the judges would be fair enough and select him for so)
Shahid is a good actor and a good looking either, but he needs to be “himslef” that’s true, if I didn’t notice his body language and his face expression which is “exactly” like Shahrukh, I wouldn’t mention it ’cause everyone noticed that he’s copying Shahrukh.
And about Vidya, I don’t agree with u this time ’cause Vidya really looks older, I don’t know how old she is, around 30 maybe, but she looks in the movie 35years old, and Shahid is just like her younger brother, no match Shona.. she is ok with the 2 Akshays, Aamir, Saif, Shiney but not Shahid.
I think if I have seen this movie in cinema I might and probably I loved it more, but it’s ok.. an average one - but better than JTYJN - ( now people who loved JTYJN will be mad at me.. sorry people!!!)

Shona, Shahid has always been your fav star! That explains why you hate this review.. What is it that is fake about review? Its not like we are the only site on the internet to have a negative review on Kismat Konnection. Most reviews from sites like Rediff, IBN Live have all been negative to poor.
Let me again repeat what i have repeated many-a-times in comments. A review is just another individual’s opinion. You cant expect a reviewer to appeal universally.

Thanks Indicine, but I understand Shona’s feelings ’cause while the release of Umrao Jaan & Saawariya ( in addition LS2050), I was really surprised that such good movie didn’t please people, and some which “below average” were blockbuster movies!! So.. Shona.. what can we do about this.. we can’t change everyone’s opinion, what I find good someothers find it bad and vice versa. All we can is to write our opinions.

I didn’t feel that vidya looked older than shahid.. I thought they were cute.. but anywayz, jo hua so hua.. It was only a film=)..
Indicine team, im sorry bcuz I was only thinkin about Shahid.. as u say, shahid has always been my fav actor, thats why I was a little bit dissapointed with this review..

Dear fren, you seem quite unaware with the ambience of bollywood and news arena. You said, Shahid is a copy of SRK in body language and facial expression.
Shaid Vs SRK
Body Language and Facial expression: You may have noticed; SRK walks like a wading bird, side to side, a kind of bizarre walk in film than his real life. His facial expression; he always seems whining and most often he shakes his head as if he is doing very good acting, but that turns into over acting, though not very often but I see in many films. Even some of the mimics in bollywood satire him with his head shaking. his way of speaking like Kkkkkkk……Kiran what the hell was that. His body language, facial expressions and talking style seems ostentatious.
Shahid is very talented guy in the field of acting, what makes him a star and near future a shining superstar. Though, I am not totally agree with the some of the reviewers that SRK’s time is over, but every one has some period and they don’t twinkle all the night. Shahid is different from SRK in body language and facial expression and walking style as well. His out fit is very good, hairstyle is different, dress up is different and many other.
Instead SRK copies Big B very often and bring backs the yaadein of Dilip Kumar.
About Herman, ya he does well on his film, unfortunately LS2050 turned to a big flop. Harman doesn’t deserve to a best debut, instead Imran may get. Didn’t you hear the news in NDTV and ZEE news, Harman had done a plastic surgery to look like Hritik, what about your opinion regarding my comment, please let me know.

Dear Umesh: that is what I noticed! I used to hear or read in some magazines that Shahid copies SRK but I never noticed that, I didn’t feel that he copies SRK in his previous movies, but in KK I did notice that ’cause yes.. he was acting exactly like SRK in the 1st half.
And about Shahrukh, he’s eternal ( he is my favourite and I’m a big fan) SRK will last in bollywood exactly as BigB did. BigB is 66 years old and still.. he’s glowing and everyone like him, me too and Shahrukh yes.. he acts a bit like Deleep Kumar ( and remember.. he always says that his mom loved Deleep and wanted SRK to be like him.. so.. maybe to please his mom in her grave, he’s acting sometimes (and not always) like him. And about SRK’s saying: kkkkk Kiran.. dear.. he was acting and tht was his role in the movie “darr”required so, and it’s not his language!!
About Harman, I’m not following daily the news in NDTV or Star news, only sometimes, if the news is true, I can’t say anything, but sometimes they announce false.. R u sure? ‘Cause I remember I saw a video on You Tube where people around him and he said when they told him that he looks like Hrithik: It’s not my fault if I look like Hrithik.. I didn’t do any surgery ( and he was touching his face) So.. I don’t think that he can fool people and lie to them.

Dear fren, I am not biased to any actor, coz I see the acting not the star cast even if that is Big B or Amir.
I do agree with you about SRK’s acting in Darr. I am damn sure about the Plastic Surgery of Herman, I think every body has thier own identity and they can prove their self as distinguised actor, so why should copy other actor, inspiration is good, however.
You said you noticed that Shahid copied exactly SRK, in KK, but I didn’t see any thing like that because I am quite used to Bollywood movies and put an extremely critical review not following the actor but their performance.
Recently, Akki bhaiya is going to rock in Bollywood.

Oh.. no.. how can u be (so sure) that Harman did a plastic surgery?!! Did u see any pics of the surgery on the net or did u follow him to the clinics or did u see him before the surgery and his face was completely different therefore u r so sure about the surgery? Prove it if u have some evidence. We can’t just believe what people say.. most of people are liers, jealous, want to downgrade someone by telling lies. I have read the review n all the comments that were passed here about the movie n i respect ur opinion.
I kept my mouth shut before because I hadn’t watched the movie but after watching the movie i can’t stop me from writing something.
So my comment is for Indicine Team,Suniel, Fathiya n all the people who didn’t like this movie n said that its a crab.I will answer to all the problems that these people have because saying anything wrong about this movie is injustice to hard work of shahid.
First of all I can’t think of anything that this movie didn’t have.
Fantastic Music by Pritam, Brilliant Singing from the most talented singers in bollywood now like Atif, Mohit
Chouhan, Neeraj Shridhar etc., a director of Aziz Mirza’s class n most importantly actors like shahid, vidya,
Vishal n all others who r fully dedicated to their work.
Now come to Vidya n the pair problem which most of the people have in this movie.Well I think Vidya was the perfect gal for this role.She was looking sweet in the whole film n her acting was also good.
Well if she looks bigger than shahid so wats the prblm in that i can’t understand.
Pls my frnds grow up but its the Indian mentality that boy shud luk bigger than the gal but i don’t think so.
Luv doesn’t sees age or anything like that she looks bigger than me so i shud not luv her.
Luv happens naturally.
Their pair was good n were very good in the romantic scenes especially n in all the songs in the movie.
U say Vidya shud shed some pounds off but look that in my views she is the only gal in the industry who can do the typical Indian gals role.Her personality is absolute perfect for that n thats why she was perfect in this film because beside being in Toronto she was still a typical Indian gal.Thats why I liked her in the movie.Remember yar every gal can’t have a supermodel figure.
Vishal n Shahid’s Pair was rocking as it was before in Ishq-Vishq which was also a hit only due to these two guys acting n on-screen chemistry.Vishal’s character is lyk an unvisible support to the film.
Now come to Shahid n his copying of SRK.Well I think that its injustice to him that only due to this reason he can’t get the credit which he deserves.
But I say wats the problem in that if he copies SRK even 1 %.
Directors have no problem,
Producers have no problem n thats why Shahid is becoming a bigger superstar day by day,
n moreover SRK has no problem then who the hell has problem in it.
If he wud have a mere copy than his fan-following wud not have been too large.
Ya I agree he started by copying SRK but now after Jab We Met n Kismat konnection I think he has worked on his acting very much.
Now I think Shahid has a + point more than SRK.Thats his dance.
If Shahid copies SRK then can SRK dance like Shahid only once.
I know he wud not be able to do so.
Shahid is a brilliant dancer n now a fantastic actor too.
Beware all the stars,Shahid is coming to rock the bollywood further.
Now to Indicine Team I have just one request that to add one more line in their review that:-
THESE VIEWS ARE PERSONAL AND CAN DIFFER FROM PEOPLE TO PEOPLE.
And I got disappointed when u defended ur review by saying that all the other sites have the similar reviews.
Let them write anything but pls don’t motivate ur review by somebody else’s review.It shud be pure.
Now come to the storyline.Boman Irani’s character n all the luck factor which was involved in the film which was hard to digest for most of the people.
Frnds remember one thing TRUTH IS STRANGER THAN FICTION n it was mere a fiction.In real life more stranger co-incidences take place which are even more harder to digest.So frnds accept it.
It seems most of the people here have not been through tough times like Raj Malhotra had therefore they r not able to collect the theme of the story.KK is all about luck,good luck, bad luck n ur lucky charm.
I m sure when u wil have to go through ur tough times then u will realize KK was a very good movie.
And who says this movie had not Item Songs n Glamour in this movie.
It had item numbers like Aai Pappi n Move ur body but wid Shahid in it as the item boy.
N wats the further need for glamour in the movie when it has Shahid in it.
U all will be thinking that i m a gal who is a diehard fan of Shahid but frnds I m a boy who admired Shahid n liked his style n personality but after KK i m a complete fan of Shahid because now I lyk his acting also.
Now come to the copying of the story from a hollywood flick.Now whats the problem in that.In this age where the remakes are a fashion u can’t say like that.
Adaptation of an idea is not bad but u then u shud do justice wid that like aziz mirza has done in this film.
Remember Koi Mil Gaya was copy of ET so wat.It was a super duper hit.
Then came Krissh which was also adapted from Superman n It was a bigger hit than Koi Mil Gaya.
So yar if u can do justice wid that Idea then its no problem in adapting wid that.
So at last I can say that Kismat Konnection was a heart winning movie n I say all of those who have not watched this movie to go wid ur family n I assure u all of u will like it.Its my guarantee.
And 1 more thing frnds when u go for a movie by investing so much money, search for the +ve points more than the -ve points.By reading some of the people’s comments here it seems that they had not gone to watch n admire the movie but to find wat was not in the movie n thats why they were not able to admire n like wat was inside the movie.
Pls reply to my comment n all the people who think that I have said right pls support me n who think I m wrong then pls tell me where I m wrong.
But I hope I m right in most of the places.

We are not going to add the line you mentioned. Most people would realize that every individual is different and has different tastes.. Not just in movies, but almost everything.. Opinions vary from person to person..
What is our problem in Shahid copying SRK?? I would rather watch the original rather than the duplicate.. Shahid was good in Jab We Met but here with Kismat Konnection he seems to be heavily inspired by SRK, or maybe its the directors fault as he has only directed SRK so far..
You say directors, producers, SRK himself has no problem with Shahid being a SRK clone.. But quite frankly its the audience that decide the fate of a individual.. whether it is of SRK, Shahid or a producer / director.. So a movie goer who spends money on a ticket has every right to criticize!
Your opinion on Kismat Konnection is positive, so be it. I would like to repeat the same words that you mentioned in your comment “VIEWS ARE PERSONAL AND CAN DIFFER FROM PEOPLE TO PEOPLE.” same applies to you too :)
Regarding our reviews, we do not refer any review on the internet before reviewing a movie and usually we review movies after Thursday night preview shows when there are hardly any reviews on the internet. We read other reviews once our review has been published on the site.
Lastly, regarding Shahid Kapoor. He is a very good actor, has a long way to do and will do very in the future. He was great in Vivah, Jab We Met.

Kismat Konnection proved one thing though, Shahid Kapoor has more than a decent fan following.
I love to read comments of die-hard fans like Shona, Tuhi Mera Naam (whats your name?).. Calm down people, its just a movie. The movie has done well at the boxoffice and is a HIT minimum. It could well go on to be a superhit, if collections sustain.
The failure of Mission Istanbul and Money Hai to Honey Hai will help Kismat Konnection.

my point is that If even the duplicate is able to reach that level of the original then I will also admire the duplicate n that is that Shahid has done.And sooner or later Shahid’s dance is the point which will take him even more forward
Moreover wat Shahid does in acting now, no body does like that.
SRK used to do this type of acting in 90s n early in this decade not now.
Thats why Shahid is the future superstar because we can see at what level SRK is right now.
And yes the movie goer has every right to criticize but here most of the people only criticized.
But its also the duty of a movie goer if they liked something then please appreciate it.
U r saying us to calm down but u will not want to knw why we got fired up.Its because saying anything wrong about this movie was a very big injustice to Shahid’s hard work which he has done in this movie.

Tu hi mera naam, I aree with ur comments. They seem very true.. And as u said, Shahid isn’t a copy of SRK.. Well, maybe Indicine feels so, but I don’t=).. Shahid is an amazing dancer, SRK isn’t. Shahid doesn’t dress up as SRK,, and so on.. There are many such examples where we can say that Shahid doesn’t copy SRK. . and by the way, Aziz Mirza wanted to have Srk in this role, but then he didn’t.. Bcuz of his age.. so it can happen that Aziz Mirza made Shahid maybe look a lil bit like Srk.. bcuz he wanted to have a similar hero in KK, as his previous movies..
Indicine team, I agree with u!. Shahid is a brilliant actor and he has a looooooong way to go!.

Well well.. TMN, if you compare SRK to Shahid, SRK is much better in Negative roles (Darr, Baazigar, to a certain extent even Don), intense roles (Devdas and many more).. So Shahid has a long way to go before you can even say “he has reached that level”
Shahid till now has only worked in boy-next-door roles, read Ishq Vishq, Vivaah and Kismat Konnection.. So he has to prove himself in other genres..
And i would rather not take him as a SRK duplicate.. Its an insult to the abundance of talent Shahid has in him.
Coming to your point of dancing, it can take you nowhere! Its an asset, but you can never save a movie by dancing like a dream.
And lastly, regarding SRK, he was great during the beginning of his career but i truly feel post DDLJ he has just wasted his talent by doing the same kind of roles. Except Chak De India he has been very disappointing in his last few movies.

Ok..this is not ur thriller like Race where they do all sorts of cheatings and complex plots…but this is as simple as a story can get…and thats what is the crucial factor of this film SIMPLICITY..those who appreciate it like me love the film..others who like their life complex wont like it.
The songs are once again simple and touching…no item numbers.
Shahid really impreses me with his body language,his looks,his spontaneity…wonderful show.
Vidya is as her fiancee karan says “perfect marriage material’..her character in the film is ur ideal girl everyone would want—–simple, beautiful, pretty, righteous….agreed she needs to lose some weight though..especially from her arms..I couldnt watch her putting her arm around shahid’s…but she speaks through her eyes and smile and face and that all is lovely.
Vishal and Juhi,Om Puri etc do provide some funny exchanges as well.
All in all —— a light,lovely,simple,touching movie ( for some it may seem immature–what the hell they’re fighting for a community centre!!!!)
The ending was rather poor tho..a little abrupt.
I’d give it at least 3 stars.
