Khiladi 786 has opened to a lower-than-expected response at the box office on Friday. The film has collected Rs 9.5 crores on it’s opening day at the box office, which is ‘average’ for a film released on 2786 screens.
The film performed well at mass centres, especially in UP/Bihar, but the response in Punjab where Akshay Kumar films usually open well, was below the mark.
Multiplexes in cities opened poorly, picked up for the evening/night shows, but not enough to put up good numbers on Day 1.
The film has potential to pick up over the weekend, especially in big cities. The morning shows on Saturday were similar to Friday, which is normal, as occupancy for the evening/night shows on Saturday are high.

Srk last 4 films – drama(mnik), sci-fi:(ra.1) , international thriller:(don2), romantic drama(jthj). India-100+ worldwide-200+. All are hit and superhit bcoz of high budget. And blockbuster worldwide. Not a single movie of srk is of masala genre or UNIVERSAL movie. King of bollywood. Does not need brainless comedy, items songs , vulgar jokes.
@a khan does it work that day?? seriously ask yourself when you go to a movie theatre do see people asking when did this actors last movie release? fact is fact admit it or not its upto you. Khiladi 786 has got a poor response. It couldnt beat talaash opening day figure. Akshay popularity went down d same day he called himself/started behaving like king kumar.
Srk doesnt need remakes. With competition srk films are 200+.worldwide. King is king
