Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif is likely to star opposite Rajnikanth in his upcoming Tamil film Kochadaiyaan. His daughter Soundarya, who is directing her father for the first time, has confirmed that they are keen on casting Katrina for the film.
The actress who is currently shooting for Yashraj Films’ Ek Tha Tiger and Yash Chopra’s next with Shahrukh Khan, is also said to be ‘excited’ about working with the Tamil superstar. Even with a packed schedule, Katrina has promised to get back to Soundarya after sorting out her dates.
A source says “In Kochadaiyaan, Rajinikanth plays a king, a devotee of Lord Shiva. His love story with Katrina, their songs, will be shot on an epic scale”
The music for Kochadaiyaan will be composed by A R Rahman. The background score requires 130 technicians from Germany!
Rajnikanth’s last film Robot too had a similar combination – a south Indian superstar paired with Bollywood’s Aishwarya Rai. The film was record-breaking down south and did good business in other parts of the country too.
