Saif Ali Khan and Kangana Ranaut were all set to share screen-space in Reema Kagti’s upcoming film ‘Mr Chaalu’. However, Saif decided to let go of the film due to remuneration issues with producers Excel Entertainment.
Now, Sujoy Ghosh of ‘Kahaani’ fame has signed Saif and Kangana for his next film which will be a Hindi adaptation of the novel ‘The Devotion of Suspect X’.
According to wikipedia, the story of the novel revolves around a wife who kills her abusive husband, along with her daughter. A neighbour helps the two in disposing the body and also plotting the coverup. The rest of the story promises to be edge of the seat intense police investigation drama.
Saif will be playing the investigating officer and Kangana will play the role of the wife who kills her husband and daughter.
The untitled film will be produced by Balaji Motion Pictures.

do some minor changes and you have drishyam’s story.

Sujoy Ghosh is a brilliant director . He has given a fabulous movie like Kahaani . Kangana is now in the best phase of her career because she is getting incredible characters and good movies . Saif and Kangana will look nice together on screen . I am happy that it is not a love story in which Saif and Kangana are opposite each other . The name of the Novel is just Mindblowing – The Devotion of the Suspect X . I am happy it is not a remake of a Tamil or a Hollywood movie . Making movies based on Novels and Books is better than Remaking movies because most of the people in India don’t read novels or books . Waiting for the title and the official announcement . Arjun Kapoor should be cast as the dead husband or daughter and only his dead body should be seen otherwise he will ruin the film with his acting if they showed him alive!!!

Waiting for Sujoy Ghosh and his next. His Jhankar Beats remains my favorite Bollywood musical in latest times. All songs in that film were pure gem! Kahani was also a terrific thriller. All the best to Kangana and Ghosh!
