The release date of Kahaani 2 starring Vidya Balan in the lead, has been announced. The Sujoy Ghosh directed film, also featuring Arjun Rampal, will release in theatres on 25 November 2016.
Kahaani 2 is a sequel to Ghosh’s 2012 classic ‘Kahaani’, which wasn’t just well-received by the critics but was a runaway hit at the box office too.
The film has been shot across various locations, including the dreamy hill-station of Kalimpong, which is situated near Darjeeling in West Bengal. Portions of the film have also been shot in Kolkata, which is where the first ‘Kahaani’ film was shot.
The film has been produced by Sujoy Ghosh and Jayantilal Gada.
There are two other sequels in November 2016. ‘Rock On 2’ on November 11 and ‘Tum Bin 2’ on November 18. So it’ll be three sequels in three weeks.

Vidya Bagchi is one role that will be remembered for ages.
Kahaani was an epic and classical movie particularly the ending of the movie was too good. It will be a big challenge for the makers to match the class of the first part.
Rock on 2 then kahani2. Kahani was one of best thriller i have seen.
IMO kahaani was the best thriller ever made in Bollywood,from performances to direction to cinematography everything was top notch.. so I m desperately waiting for Kahaani2.

Kahaani is a classic am very excited about this sequel,vidya Balan gave an amaizing perfomance i just hope the sequel will be as good as the first one.
Tum Bin had an amaizing music album hope the sequel will also have an awesome album.

I loved the first part dark thriller at the best part it’s a woman eccentric movie. Vidya is a very natural and gifted talent.
It will be interesting to see how the story goes forward from the 1st part . It will be difficult for Kahaani 2 to match the brilliance of the prequel . Also we know that usually sequels are not as good as the original movies .

@Nipun and @iam bollywood fan its not too late try and give it a watch. I don’t like female eccentric. My friend request me to watch and I do, I really enjoy it it one of the best thriller I have ever seen. I will defenately watch the sequel Vidya was extraordinary in kahani

Will watch it but on the whole sequels tend to disappoint like last months Pankha was crappier than first Billu so heres hoping they can enthrall us like they did 4 yrs back

KAHAANI is my favorite thriller.
Now that I am avoiding Raees, Sultan, Befikre (YRF), anything from EXCEL.
Never has been a better time in bollywood to see non-superstar movies.
Looking forward to RANGOON, KAHAANI 2.
