Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 2 was the superstar’s lowest grossing film in Week 1 since the beginning of 2016. The trend of the film is better than ‘Housefull 3’, but isn’t as good as his other two releases last year – Airlift and Rustom.
At the end of Week 1, ‘Jolly LLB 2’ was Rs 2.39 crore lower than ‘Housefull 3’. The gap has reduced to Rs 1.75 crore on Day 8 and ‘Jolly LLB 2’ will take the lead by the end of the second weekend.
‘Rustom’ and ‘Airlift’ were way ahead and hence will remain out of reach for ‘Jolly LLB 2’ – which is now looking at a finish of 110-115 crore.
It isn’t a big total that the industry and trade were hoping for, but considering the period of release and costs of the film, it’s yet another box office hit for Akshay Kumar. It’ll also be the second highest grosser of 2017 after Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees.

Toilet and Padman are not potential enough to cross 100cr, Jolly Llb 2 needs to cross 95cr to get a Hit tag. It is still below average or flop.

Trade expecting blockbuster in such a dull period where teens are hurry for their exams and parents busy with them for the preparation…. February is a dull period and releasing movie in February was not good idea… Cost is also high for Jolly llb 2 but makers taking risk…. Indicine we Indians only do watch a movie which gives entertainment and hardly 9 to 10 movies in a year fulfill the expectations and out of 10 movies 4 belongs to Akshay kumar… All received good appreciation…. Bringing audience back in a theater in every 3-4 month is not a easy task…. It’s open challenge for himself to prove himself 4 time in year… And prove he is good return on investment for producer… Distributor and exhibitors… Who cares Until and unless if they are happy to put their money on him…. Indicine business run for 365 days balance sheet count for every day and this is not a game for eid diwali or Christmas.
When will Akki sir cross 135 crore?? SRK crossed with clash this year in the same dull period, Hrithik does with his rejected films Bang Bang. Ranbir Kapoor crossed 4 years ago. Ranveer and Ajay also have. Aamir and Salman take just 4 days. Even Kangana did it.
With solo release its just 10% more than Kaabil.. I think Rustom was the only film to open well because it clashed with MJD :D

Akki sir should atleast show us that he is capable. Hrithik is having a dull period, but has proved he can open his films big and take it to highest grosser of the year and all time. Salman had a dull period but has bounced back and is giving big grossers. SRK in his dull period is giving 135 crore grossers.
Akki sir has never ever ever given highest grossers of the year, forget highest grosser of all time. Not a single film has opened above 20.

Wish Akki don’t do much silly comedy with no story anymore. Yeaah, he’s good in comical acting but at least chose the one with content. Airlift is still his best to me
Finally saw jolly LLB 2 yesterday. But I really really didn’t like that much. 1st part was far far better film. Even I think arshad warshi and barman irani were far better than Akshya Kumar and annu kapoor. But one thing everyone agree that is surabh shukla who shine in both movie. Overall jolly LLB 2 is one time watch. My rating: 2.5*

Watched Jolly LLB 2 and I have to admit that this movie is no where close to first one. The dialogues are average barring the Akki’s dialogue for Love & war. The courtroom drama was flat and crappy. The better part of the movie come in last 30 mins other than movie has nothing to offer.
There is no need for heroine in the movie, no scope for Huma Qureshi
Saurabh Shukla is the only actor who standout in the movie for me but even his character were poorly written just to create humor in the story. Annu Kapoor is average to good in his performance.
Biggest disappointment come from Akshay Kumar. In last 5 years we have seen Akshay superb performance in movies like RR,OMG,SPL 26,holiday,baby,gib,Airlift and Rustom. My expectation was high from him because of his performances in above mentioned film but He disappointed. It is without a doubt his poorer performance in a film where the content looked solid for a great performance. I may be sound odd here as the movie is performing extremely well and will touch 110cr but I found it boring and dull affair which has substance in only last 30 mins.
Music has no scope in this movie, direction is below average. The movie is effort to get maximum return in the name of well made prequal.
My rating is 2/5 for the movie.

Rustom opened 14 cr when akki coming after 2 months ,Jolly opens 12 cr when akki coming after 7 Months ,so don’t give this time gap excuse everytime…
Jolly opens at 13 cr with 3000 screens and solo with good buzz in his best phase koi teer nhi maar diya
