Jolly LLB 2 has sustained well at the box office and passed the crucial Monday test. The collections are a little below the 7 crore mark and closer to 6.5 crore. Mass-centres showed bigger drops on Monday, while multiplex business remained steady inspite of reduced ticket prices.
A better performance at single-screens, especially in the north and central parts of India, would’ve given the film a slightly bigger total – in the range of 7.5 crore, which would’ve been an excellent hold, giving the film a chance to go well beyond the 100 crore mark.
A single-screen theatre in the North, which collected 68,490 on Friday (698 admits on 5 shows), has collected 27,950 (291 admits on 5 shows). The occupancy at the theatre has dropped from nearly 45% on Friday to 19% on Monday. At multiplexes the hold was better, with most centres showing collection (not occupancy) drops in the range of 40-45%.
Jolly LLB 2 will get a small boost from Valentine’s Day today. It isn’t a holiday and neither has the love angle been extensively promoted. In 2014, a rejected film like ‘Roy’ took advantage of Valentine’s Day and in 2016, ‘Fitoor’ was outright rejected but the business of ‘Sanam Re’ did show some jump. The last film to really take advantage of the period was ‘Gunday’ which released on Valentine’s Day in 2014 and took a excellent opening.
It remains to be seen if Jolly LLB 2 can better its Monday collections or sustain at the same level on Tuesday.
The day-wise collections of Jolly LLB 2 is as follows:
- Friday - 12.65 crore
- Saturday - 16.50 crore
- Sunday - 19.25 crore (approx)
- Monday – 7 crore (approx)
- Total in 4 days – 55.4 crore
Khans and Hrithik have crossed 200 cr while Akki is still struggling to cross 100 cr.

Jolly LLB 2 has done good business till now . But the opening should have been 15+ and sunday’s collections should have been 20+ . I watched Jolly LLB 2 on Sunday with my mom . It is a very good film and can be called as a well made Sequel . Akshay Kumar has done a superb job as Jolly . He creates a new dimension and gives the character of Jolly his own touch . Saurabh Shukla is just amazing as Justice Tripathi . It was a great decision to retain him in this film as well . Annu Kapoor is brilliant as Mathur who is smart and cunning . Huma Qureshi has done a decent job as Pushpa . Sayani Gupta packs a solid punch as Hina . Kumud Mishra as Suryaveer Singh has done a good job playing the negative role . The reason why Jolly LLB 2 shines because Subhash Kapoor has made this film . Nobody could have done justice to this film apart from him . I still feel Jolly LLB is better than Jolly LLB 2 but it is a well made Sequel . People really enjoyed the film . I think this film will sustain well in the weekdays but the exams are about to begin and most of the people have spent their money on Dangal, Kaabil and Raees so they may avoid Jolly LLB 2 . !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since the release of Kaabil and Raees you have started posting your own figures and this is just adding confusion . Since the start of this year every website is giving their own numbers which is making things difficult . I feel you should post a table where you can post both Official figures and your own figures . People who want to believe your numbers will trust you and people who trust Official numbers will believe in Producer figures . During the release of Kaabil and Raees you felt both the parties were doing excessive manipulation and you stopped giving Official numbers . Yeah but according to my source at another single screen next to it there was a drop of only 30% according to my source……Really indicine grow up!!!!! Why are making fun of trade figures by posting such articles.
