Vivek Oberoi’s last solo-success, Saathiyaa, released more than a decade ago. Since then, none of his single-hero films have fared well at the box office. His latest, Jayantabhai Ki Luv Story, unfortunately, is no different.

The romantic comedy opened to a dismal response at the ticket window on Friday. The occupancy was very low (less than 15%) even though the film had very few shows and released on fewer screens than the other release this week Murder 3.

With Special 26 and ABCD doing well at the box office, both films have been allotted more shows than Jayantabhai Ki Love Story at most multiplexes this week.

Critics have thrashed the film (more than 50% negative reviews) and the response from the audience isn’t great either.

Yet another disaster of Vivek Oberoi? Looks like, unless there is a miraculous turnaround over the weekend.
