Salman Khan’s Jai Ho has beaten last year’s Republic Day release Race 2. As a result, the film is now the second highest Republic Day weekend grosser after Hrithik Roshan’s Agneepath which released in 2012.
Race 2 was a sequel to a popular film, featured popular stars like Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. The film also had 2 holidays in its first weekend (Republic Day and Sunday). Jai Ho, however, was only riding on the star power of Salman Khan.

race-2 sequel of superhit film and saif-deepika combo after cocktail with hit music and agneepath too is backed with dharma productions starcast of hritik,sanju and priyanka with huge chartbuster chikini chamel…whereas jai ho only got poor salman khan doing charity to his brother sohail khan…i remember satish kaushik director terenaam did decent job even film average far at b.o but remembered for his performance…jai ho had strong plot if handled by exp director would hav been superhit atleast! music is below par..salman took complete blame himself…now leave him alone

KICK is a MINDLESS movie.It contains more comedy than action.Ravi Teja can vanish and go to places he likes.He can beat 4 people under 30sec.And the word ‘KICK’ is mentioned many times in everything he does,whether fighting,eating,,,,,, And contains many flashback scenes
Boy,the hero,RAVI TEJA is very very ugly.And when u see Ravi teja romancing Ileana, you will laugh out.
Nevertheless it was very funny,especially the ugly actor romancing the beautiful Ileana.
This movie is not for CRITICS and intellectuals and this role suits SALMAN and AKSHAY and since SALMAN is gud looking,it will be entertaining

I love this movie Jai Ho. Very good morals here @BeingSalmanKhan and Genelia Deshmukh were just stunning – had me in tears. Heart touching scenes has no end when u start talking about Jai Ho.
And it will remain the second highest grosser as it won’t be able to beat AGNEEPATH..
Saif n john are better than Salman in terms of acting.

I am sure it will fetch around 20 Crores more. What will be the verdict then? Please answer!

Is #JaiHo A Flop? Its Weekend Collection was more than the collections of any other Amir or SRK film but for CE & Dhoom 3.
Jai Ho- 1) [Bad Timing of Release after X’Mas and New Year] An out and out non-festive and non-holiday release, 2) Widest Release, 3) Ticket Price 30%-40% lower than CE and Dhoom 3, 4) Some Section of People are Boycotting it. 5) Low-ranking casts but for Salman and film-makers, 6) A good qaulity-pirated copy of Jai Ho was leaked online and anti-Salman people encouraged others to watch the pirated movie. According to Hindustan Times, it lost 8-10 crores because of that.
CE and Dhoom3- 1) [Good Timing of Releses] Festive Releases, 2) Released in lesser screens, 3) Ticket Price: 40% Higher, 4) No one boycotted them, 5) High-Ranking Casts and Film-Makers.
Out of the above five-facts, only no. 2 is in favor of Jai Ho, while other four are against. And no.1, no.3, no.4. no.5 are in favor of CE and Dhoom 3, while only no.2 is against them.

can anybody tell me when was the last time boxoffice india n all the other sites n all the trade experts are giving the same figure.. eros could have easily manipulated the figures by 20 crores n tagged it a ‘hit’ through inflated official figures.. but they chose not to.. infact they did not release any official figures.. they left the trade to do its job.. afterall it is salman khan, who doesnt get into these dirty games.. proud to be a salman fan.. respect.. we are happy with average grosser rather than a fake hit!
When human beings find continuous success, they, naturally, tend to take things lightly. As a human being, Salman Khan is also prone to that weakness. Though, with no doubt, Jai Ho is a great film, it didn’t do business as much as it had been expected from it. There are many reasons for it. It has alerted Salman Khan to take the audiences’ taste seriously, to do something and not to do something. He will surely be precautionary from these days onwards. The fortunate thing is he has got the chance to improve his work without facing a great failure.
In Salman Khan last few films except for ETT, though story may be different but screenplays, music and actions have become repetitive and predictable. Frankly, I prefer and thoroughly enjoyed the kind of action he did in ETT. Besides, the action he did in Tum Ko Na Bhool Payengi was simply superb without the help of international action directors. He should stick to realistic action like the actions in those films rather doing south types. I think even single screen audiences are ready to accept the Sleek-looking-action like in ETT, Don 2, Dhoom 3, or Krrishh.
His next film is KICK on Eid! It is being directed by Sajid Nadiawala. Since it is first film as a director, he is making the movie on lavish scale with huge budget, with international stunt directors, high production values. Besides Salman Khan, it has some great castings like Nawazuddin, Randeep Hooda, Jaquelin, Mithun. And the screenplay of the original KICK was re-written and improvised by Chetan Bhagat only keeping the theme of the original movie (i.e. which also happens to be in Dhoom 3 formate Cop Vs Theif or Robber. But the good thing here is the lead actor steals from the rich to serve a noble cause and for orphans). Ravi Teja’s Kick was also thoroughly entertaining so much so that I have already watched it five times. I am sure it will click with the audience big time. Hence, expect the unexpected surprise from KICK.
Next, Salman has a line-up of movies with Sooraj Barjatya, Anees Bazmee, Kabir Khan, Shimit Amin and Prabhu Deva as well. Besides, KJo is also desperate to do a movie with him in a project to be directed by Rohit Shetty. Salman should take that up as well. Hence, Salman will keep ruling!!
And don’t forget to go and watch Jai Ho with family. It’s a great movie though not the perfect one.

Jai Ho grossed more than race2 is such is any headline dear indicine, Race 2 was such a crap sequal of wonderfully made Race1 while jai ho is way better than Race2 though Agneepath was better than Jai Ho in every sense thanx to brilliant modification in script from originals, great performances by rishi sir, Hr and Sanjay dutt and superb direction of Karan Malhotra.
Irrespective of whatever collections Jai Ho will remain one of the best movie of Salman for me. Jai Ho !!!!
Salman can take any movie to 100 cr even movies like himmatwala , besharam , joker can make it 100 cr if salman was there instead of ajay , rk and akshay
