Acclaimed actor Irrfan Khan is considered to be one of the best actors in the industry and one of the few actors from India to make a mark in Hollywood.
Irrfan has been seen in big-budget Hollywood movies like Life of Pi, The Amazing Spiderman and A Mighty Heart.
In a group interview to promote his upcoming film ‘Piku’, the actor said he prefers to work in Hollywood because they offer “more challenging and diverse” roles.
“With Hollywood I get a chance to better myself as the roles are more challenging and diverse. Because of this, it tests my capabilities as an actor more and stretches me to the limit. With Hollywood also comes the opportunity to work with world class directors and with each film I learn so much more than what I would if I did a Bollywood film” Irrfan said.
His latest Hindi film ‘Piku’ releases in theatres next week.

No matter how great an actor he is but it isn’t fair to say Bollywood doesn’t offer him challenging roles.There are some talented directors in Bollywood too who may not be as accomplished as their Hollywood counterparts but still they have the potential to make an impact on the society through their movies be it Rajkumar Hirani,Neeraj.Hope he doesn’t go the Emmi way

The reason why Irrfan Khan is saying this because Bollywood is a Star driven industry . Nowadays Bollywood is making good movies but actors like Irrfan, Rajkumar, Nawaazuddin, Randeep and Manoj Bajpayee get less opportunities in Big Movies . But in Hollywood there are not biased towards stars and that is a reason Irrfan likes doing Hollywood movies . It is important that these actors should be given more opportunities in Big Movies . Expecting a Brilliant performance from Irrfan Khan in Piku .
Working with Ang Lee is awesome but who really cares about SPIDER MAN director or JURRASIC WORLD director when Irrfan’s character is completely negligible.
This was a high time Irrfan was casted in BARDEM type of prime villian role in follow up to SKYFALL or SPECTRE.
Irrfan has those perfect acting skills, eyes and physique to be a lead bond villian. If anything his acting career has been stunted internationally.
he is not right about Indian directors… here Indian directors like rohit shetty prabhudeva r giving challenges to well known gravity law…trying to create new world where gravity does not exist…so irfan bhai u r totally wrong..
so irfaan gets happiness with doing cameos or supporting roles in Hollywood than doing lead roles in Bollywood films like piku,lunch box,paan singh tomar!!!

It is true that he has much more challenging roles in Hollywood than Bollywood. I remember that my psychology teacher discuss about a character that Irrfan plays in a tv serial for about 20minutes in my university. Irrfan is a very good actor, he is very talented unlike others who do always the same kind of movies and the same kind of roles again, again and again… Stupid actors.. That’s why I prefer Irrfan, Shahid and Aamir over the others, they are always doing different roles. I love them!

Indicine is just putting imaginary questions of a response that Irrfan gave to the media.
The question could have been – What is the difference that he finds in Hollywood and Bollywood movies as an actor? Or, what challenges he find in Hollywood more than Bollywood?
There are many possible questions tha could be made out of his response.

If Irrfan loved only Hollywood, he would never do bollywood movies, but it is not the case.

Again an inferiority complex, Hollywood is no better than Bollywood….they make excellent films and poor films….they make box office flops and box office successes……and in the process make and loose a lot of money because they spend a lot of money.
IRRFAN is intelligent and he knows that in the few Hollywood movies, his presence is purely to get the Indian market ( the exception being The Life of Pie ) where he played the role of an Indian…no challenge in that because he is a very good actor
His films have not done very well in the sub-continent…… so he is a bit sour….But he is a very good actor.

He is arrogant ,I knew that very well during conversation with one of His fan,neither he got importance in hollywood’s cameo shorter done role nor in India’s shorter done cameo role.cameo actor will run main cameo actor as always.
Someone compared this actor with LEGEND ACTOR KING KHAN,still if you have doubt then you can compare their ACTING in Billy,where irfan seems to be a kid in ACTING in front of KING KHAN.
