Salman Khan has said that he would take the blame if Jai Ho doesn’t pick up at the box office from Monday onwards. Sources say, the actor was in a state of shock after his latest release, directed by his brother Sohail Khan, failed to take a flying start at the domestic box office.
“God forbid, the film doesn’t pick up from Monday, I’ll take the blame on me” Salman told a news channel, a couple of days after the release of Jai Ho .
The actor also admitted that the box office collections are not on par with some of his latest releases.
“The collections are a little lower than some of my previous films. If the collections are not good, it’s my fault that I failed to bring my fans to theatres. The mouth publicity is good and the response has been phenomenal all over, but, I don’t know… maybe because its not a festive week or my fans don’t have the money to go to the theatre”
The superstar also spoke about the music of the film “We thought music will pick up, but only two songs did good”
However, Salman was quick to add that the collections of Jai Ho mean nothing to him, as long as the people are getting the message that the film is trying to convey.
“My mission is accomplished. People are getting the message of the film. And I am happy with the film” he concluded.
Great. Love Salman. I now respect him even more.

Jai ho is far better than salman’s last four craps.
I am a SRK fan but I watch every actor’s movies. I watched Jai Ho last night and I really liked it. I can’t say why the movie is doing bad but movies like Jai Ho are not to miss out. Salman according to me is an idiot. Now a days when the competition is tight and the movies r getting the highest ticket prices possible, Salman made sure that people get the tickets on cheapest prices. That is a stupidest move ever. No wonder why the movie isn’t putting big numbers. SRK all they way!! Genius king!!
Jai ho has a great story.it is better than dhoom 3.as i have already said,i would have given it 3.5 stars out of 5,but reduced one star because it has poor direction,screenplay and over action and fighting.
It could have been a mastarpiece if there were some modification.if i were to co-direct the staline remake,then i would have induced some modification.
1.starting could have been much better.the scene of admitting salman to hospital at the last moment is shown as the starting of the movie.and the CM narrates the lifestory of Jai to the news chennals during his treatment.and after the narration ,jai’s treatment gets successful and salman comes out and shows the 3 fingures to aam admi as shown in the film.remember ranjhaana and madras cafe which were more acclaimed?in these two,such script were given.
2.unrealistic fighting is not the basis of changing the society.over action should have been reduced.realistic fighting scenes should have been given so that people can feel the reality.
3.trailer should contain emotions also which will connect with people’s heart.in jai ho,trailer there was nothing great.
4.it should have one petrotic song as it contains some moral value.
5.replacement of daisy with any other actress.
6.modification in music.
These points were essential to make such kinda film a masterpiece.
respect mr. salman khan.. now that’s dabangg khan for u, taking all the blame upon himself when there is none of his fault.. that is why we love n respect u.. he has been let down by other people.. having said that jai ho is an awesome movie n it will definately become a blockbuster.. word of mouth is extremely positive n salman khan has rocked big time.. just wait n watch.. jai ho!
i still insist the collections are pretty good for a non holiday n festive release that too in january which is the least profitable period in bollywood.. though i admit it could have been more with better music n actress.. still jai ho has all the merits to become a blockbuster n it will for sure, mark my words! it is a movie that will have consistent collections throughout its run..
however the collection are just liked the movies…may its opening not par with ce and d3 but among 3 jai ho is best of them…from srk fan

Im convinced its message will get through and it will stay afloat in the coming days and 150 cr is in the bag at the bare minimum… Truly a superb film- my expectations were met and obviously not every film can be as well made/ presented like ETT or D3 as YRF studios are masters at this game but Jai Ho is the best you and Sohail could do and thats good enough.
Too much negative vibes out there but that will die down and the aam janta will love this film for along time too come yet.

To make a flying start at the box office many factors like big banner,top actress,hit music,top director etc r important along with the main factor which is the star of the movie.In the case of ‘Jai ho’ there was just 1 factor which was Salman khan so the collections were less than his previous movies.But the positive thing is that movie is very good and getting good reviews from everywhere so it should do well in the weekdays.
Jai Ho rocked…. Brrilliant film but gloss factor was low key but then again thats a good thing… Too many masala films nowadays are all glossy and no substance but this has plenty of substance to it- sure shot BlockBuster…

Bravo man,this is gesture and not possible for any actor to come in media and talking openly about underperformance of the movie. Don’t worry Salman,the response i have seen who watched the movie is on positive side and the wom will do magic this time as the movie deserves big success. I will watch in 2-3 days for sure. I read on some post as someone said Salman hugged Srk to bring his fans into theatres this is called ‘jisne madad ki usi ko laat maaro’. Salman hugged Srk before Ce release,does That time any Salman movie lined up for release?that was Salman message to his fans to enjoy srk movie in theatres and he wished in media and Srk himself for ce success before release. Srk has no doubt a superstar but must say his fans are dumber than any other fans. They fools even criticise Manoj kumar by saying that he want publicity on the name of Srk,they moron even have no respect for senior actors. They not aware Manoj Kumar had given wonderful patriotic movies in Past,doesn’t mean senior like mockery on them.

Srk-farha used Manoj character in Oso,as he hiding his face from hand,tell Mr. Srk and best director of Indian Cinema’farha’ what bad Manoj kumar done as he is hiding his face,look at srk he even not handle jokes of Shirish on crap Ra.1 and slapped him in party than how he think a senior actor would like his insult in name of comedy.Srk fans its good you defend Srk but doesn’t mean you insult senior actors who had given wonderful movies in past. I know when Aamir said Srk his dog and he said he don’t like Amitabh performance in Black,i was against to him even i am his fan because he said wrong for someone and i don’t liked. Similarly when Salman accused for hit and run case and blackbuck case i am still against him for his crime but still i am his fan. If i criticise him for those cases than i appreciating his good deeds like charity,being human foundation etc. So srk fans support srk but if he is wrong than also criticise him so he can correct himself because at the end he is still a human not God.

The message of the movie is more important than box office collection.Last 5 blockbuster movies of Salman have already broken many records and breaking records everytime is not possible.There r other global stars who gives 1 blockbuster after giving 4 just hit verdict movies and the records made by them after decades does not stays for even 4 months.So there is no need to worry for less collections bcoz the mission is accomplished and the message has got to many peoples.
