With Hollywood movies gaining momentum in India, distributors and exhibitors across the country are investing more into promoting keenly-awaited releases. While the animation genre isn’t huge in India, the ‘Ice Age’ franchise has a big enough following to do well across major cities.
Titled ‘Ice Age: Collision Course’, the 5th film in the franchise has all the characters that the audience loved in the first four films and also a few new ones.
Scrat’s epic pursuit of the elusive acorn catapults him into the universe where he accidentally sets off a series of cosmic events that transform and threaten the Ice Age World. To save themselves, Sid, Manny, Diego, and the rest of the herd must leave their home and embark on a quest full of comedy and adventure, travelling to exotic new lands and encountering a host of colourful new characters.
Directed by Mike Thurmeier and Galen Chu, ‘Ice Age: Collision Course’ releases in Indian theatres on 15 July. It’ll be one of the many Hollywood film that will be premiered and released in India, much before its release in United States.

I loved the last 4, Blue Sky animations is currently the best animation studios in the world and it is apparent from their work on Ice Age and last year’s Peanuts..
