Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 3 has performed very well so far in its first week at the box office. The film has collected nearly 75 crore in 6 days and should complete a successful Week 1 with net box office collections of around 80 crore.
The film has done well in the overseas markets too.
Friday (Day 8) and Saturday (Day 9) will decide if the film will go on to be a clean ‘hit’ or better. If the fall isn’t big on Friday and the film manages growth on Saturday, then we could be in for yet another big day on Sunday. We expect the film to hold to around 4 crore on Friday, 5 crore on Saturday and 7-8 crore on Sunday – that sort of trend and collections will give the film a chance to outgross the previous film in the franchise and also help it attain hit status.
The Sajid-Farhad directed film has no major competition in Week 2, except Amitabh Bachchan’s TE3N.
Housefull 3 needs to collect around 105 crore for clean-hit status and about 140-145 crore for ‘Super Hit’.

H3 has done well till now . I was expecting a huge drop on weekdays but it has performed well and now the chances of H3 emerging as a success are looking bright . For me H3 has to beat H2 as Sequels have to do better than their predecessors in terms of Box Office . Housefull did 72 CR in 2010 and H2 did 116 CR in 2012 so H3 should do 120+ . I am surprised to see H3 doing superb business in Overseas Markets . It should be Akshay’s highest Grosser in Overseas . If H3 does 100 than it will be Akshay’s 5th overall and 2nd this year which will be a noteworthy achievement . Till the release of Sultan there is no big movie that can really challenge H3 except Udta Punjab which is involved in a ugly controversy . The dialogues are anytime oscar-worthy!!
And the taang uthake song was so great that I found people playing with their taang in theatre.. Even I also wanted to do it.. But as I was sitting beside a family, I remained silent.
Pyaar ki Maa ki gave me “Khoosi ki Ashun” . It reminded me of the “prayers” of my School life.

Big franchise but small success.the previous houseful(1,2) bigger success thannthis one.still after success of airlift,with highly entertaining comedy genre containing a-listed heroines still shameless floppaki couldn’t bring crowd on DAY-1 and remain far behind than FAN proves he is not at all a big star.and comparing with THE GENIUS ACTOR/GENERATION RULER LIKE KING SRK is a huge shame for akki.
I really don’t give damn towards small stars liek akki,but their fans are forcing me to bash this biggest flopstar named akshay Kumar holds maximum flops among all star.he is really a shame in the name of self made superstar which actually justifies THE KING OF BOLLYWOOD—-KING SRK.

Its good to see few films which perform well and earn good moolah!! Every film which does well should be appreciated and i keep reading the reviews by people here and don’t understand if all are such big critics to judge the fate of a film in which crores are invested. Its always about individual choice that matters the most.
Saw Housefull 3 and all i can say is its a good movie that can be watched atleast once for sure.
Rest for the movie to soar big or small is totally to the audience. Reviews and comments hardly matter as i as an audience would still watch a movie even if it has got a poor review and wouldnt watch a movie if i dont want to no matter how good the movie is.
Happy for the collections of Housefull 3 though.

Budget 95? how can 105 be hit? Come on that should just be Above Average forget Semi Hit! Stop promoting this guy where he is not suppose to be. 15 cr opener for arguably the biggest movie of his career so far which trade were hoping to reach 200 cr or atleast 150. The main reason this movie may crawl to 100 cr is no major release and no clash with JJ. Imagine if Jjasoose clashed with it? 8 cr opener and lifetime 75 at most. Ranbir would have had a better opening and submit H3 to 79-80 cr max. Sour truth The movie is Pathetic!

Very frankly the movie should have done more business, it was promoted aggressively + a popular franchise + Akshay in a comic movie + solo release + free run. The collection just proves that the movie was just average! Akshay need to realize in order to maintain his goodwill he can’t just make 1good movie& then multiple bad movies. Its high time for him to realise this !
I must say I liked houseful 3 more than housefull 2 but the first part was the best l, dnt know the problem of critics but this movie made me laugh out loud in scenes happy for the collections its a HIT already lets hope for superhit

Airlift was the luckiest thing to happen for akki. Remember even Shahid would have had 100 cr for that movie it was content script nothing more. Fragrance Abraham of bollywood forum says: a superstar can never do 4 films a year. Only a niche star. If a superstar does 4 films a year atleast 3 should be clean hits and gross 100 cr. unfortunately only 1 film hits 1 above average rest flops for akki Kumar. Bitter truth @Fragrance
