Housefull 3 has shown good growth in business on its 2nd Saturday at the box office. The film has jumped by nearly 45% to take its 9-day collections to Rs 88.65 crore net.
As compared to the 2nd Saturday collections of some of Akshay Kumar’s biggest grossers, Housefull 3 remains the lowest and all his other films were well above the 6 crore mark (in bracket we have included Sunday collections i.e Day 10):
- Housefull 2 - 6.70 crore (8.90)
- Rowdy Rathore - 6.80 crore (10.50)
- Holiday - 6.32 crore (8.68)
- Airlift – 6.5 crore (8.26)
- Housefull 3 – 5.05 crore
As you can see from the numbers in the brackets above, successful Akshay films tend to show big growth in business on Sunday. Housefull 3 is still the first choice for moviegoers at smaller centres and at multiplexes too the competition is weak as far as the family audience is concerned. So the business of the film could well touch 8 crore on Sunday, to take the 10-day total of the film to 96-97 crore.

The Conjuring 2 is the first choice for alot of people,i totally enjoyed it.
HF3 may end up collecting between 115cr-120cr,but it needs to cross more than HF2 honestly.
After a superb week 1 of 80 crores without any holiday ,2nd weekend is a little disappointment.
Teen and the conjuring 2 are there to give good competition in this week. Still a hit and above all a good 3rd part to the franchise!
Its only H3 has luck to surpass 100cr..
If any other movies release on this week..it should have fallen short of 100cr.
H3 is just a average film..
H3 will be Akshay’s 5th 100 CR Grosser by looking at current trend . It has been a profitable movie for Sajid Nadiadwala and Eros . But if H3 does less than 116 than it will be called underperformance . Sequels are always expected to earn more than their prequels . 100 CR on Non Holiday is still a big thing but H3 had many factors in its favour – Akshay coming back after Airlift, Post IPL Period, Successful Franchise and no major competition in the 2nd week . Conjuring 2 is not as huge as FF, JP, Avengers, Iron Man, Civil War and TJB . The level of Comedy is getting worse day by day and H3 just proves my point .

With a successful & popular franchise even our world’s biggest flop star srk can give 100 crores , what’s big deal in that , having said that I still feel that floppy Kumar has more fans in india than flop star srk , its just that srk has more fans than floppy in countries like Pakistan , Kenya , Uganda , Somalia , Papua new guinea along with having uncountable fans on Pluto & Pandora.
