Sajid Khan is one of the most commercially successful directors in the country today. With every new release, Sajid has not only promised a bigger box office blockbuster, but delivered too – Heyy Babyy collected 48 crores, Housefull did 72 crores of domestic business and Housefull 2 was his first film to cross the 100 crore mark.
With his latest release Himmatwala, a remake of Jeetendra’s 1983 blockbuster, Sajid has once again made some attention-grabbing statements. Below are some of them..

Such tall claims have earned Sajid the tag of being over confident. But guess what? He has made such statements prior to the release of all his films, including Heyy Babyy. Infact, Sajid is known to give letters to all the stars of his films, which read : Be prepared for the biggest hit of your career.
So, will Himmatwala beat Housefull 2? Can the film beat Rowdy Rathore to be the biggest hit for UTV?
Unlikely, as the trade isn’t overtly excited this time around. The buzz at Urban centres is certainly not as high as how it was when Housefull and Housefull 2 released. The response to the advance booking which opened earlier this week was dismal, lower than Son Of Sardar. Also, the music has failed to strike a chord.
The film will benefit from 2 holidays in it’s 3 day weekend – Friday is a national holiday for Good Friday and the weekly holiday on Sunday.

I am 100% sure these predictions are not from a certain J Tuteja because the article isnt exaggerated and makes a lot of sense.
I feel it will do 13 cr on opening day because of Good Friday, 9 cr on Saturday and 13 crore on Sunday. 35 – 38 crore max weekend.
As it is a masala genre which usually do good business in single screens and even there is no major competition till the next week , so my prediction is around 120 cr. as it’s lifetime business.

I have already bought tickets for it and it has released on thursday 28th of march on several single screens in Pakistan a day before its worldwide release !!
Himmatwala will surely be a hit nt more than that because of the ipl
And if it has good comedy and storyline as housefull 2 or entertaining masala movie like dabbang2 and its action sequences made sense nothing like khiladi 786 so it will surely be ajay devgans carrier biggest hit as sajid khan said !!
Flop hai boss
My personal opinion is Sajid is a good director when it comes to urban, modern and sort of posh comedies (Hey babyy, Houseful 1 & 2). Since he has never done a this Himmatwala type of a movie (action masala for single screens), can’t predict how it will fare at box office. I feel this time Sajid is trying to promote the movie with his boasting comments rather than the content. This might be Sajid’s most underperformed movie at BO. I don’t know whether it will become a flop or hit. But I feel at maximum it will manage to become just a hit, but not a superhit or a blockbuster.
Anyways I’m eagerly waiting for Indicine’s review of the movie.
No chance of beating Rowdy Rathore. However, it may surpass the business of Housefull 2 by a little margin.

Bollywoodhungama gives 1.5 stars , never seen before 1.5 for any other movie. same with other critics , some are saying its the worst movie.
