List of Highest Tax Payers in Bollywood (Advance Tax) for financial year 2012.

Please note, we have no info on the advance taxes paid by Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan. We think all three are somewhere in the Top 5 – SRK makes a lot of money through brand endorsements and his movies. Salman Khan gets a major share in most of his blockbusters and he’s had three in the last one and a half years. As for Hrithik, he became the highest paid television star, when Star paid him a whopping 2 crores for each episode of it’s reality dance show – Just Dance.

• Akshay Kumar (6 crores) – Flops do not seem to be affecting Akshay too much, atleast not financially as the actor has paid 6 crores in Advance tax this year too (he paid 6 crores last year)! Akshay had three releases this year Desi Boyz, Patiala House and Thank You.
• Katrina Kaif (3 crores) – By far the most popular actress in Bollywood today, Katrina paid 3 crores in advance tax compared to 2 crores last year. She is raking in the mullah through item numbers too!
• Ranbir Kapoor (2.6 crores) – Down at No 3 is Ranbir Kapoor who has paid Rs 2.6 crores in advance tax. He had just one release this year – Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar.
• Amitabh Bachchan (2.5 crores) – At four is Amitabh Bachchan who paid 2.5 crores as advance tax. He featured in 2 films this year – Buddha Hoga Tera Baap and Aarakshan.
• Kareena Kapoor (2 crores) – Paying exactly the same amount as last year, Kareena Kapoor appeared in mega grossing films like Ra One and Bodyguard.
• Aamir Khan (1 crore) – He paid 3.5 crores last year, but just one crore for the financial year of 2012. He has appeared in just one film – Dhobi Ghat which did reasonably well at the box-office.
