Happy New Year First Day Collections: Early Estimate

Happy New Year has recorded the highest single-day collections at around 46 of the 52 centres that we have received collections from so far. As per early estimates, the film has collected around Rs 39 crore on its first day at the box office, including business from regional versions like Tamil and Telugu – which is a record for the highest opening day collections ever.

The film could challenge the highest collections first day collections in Rajasthan circuit even though the newly introduced entertainment tax has come into effect from August 1st (After first week of Kick, before Singham Returns).

We have compiled estimates for all circuits in India. Do note that these are NOT the final collections of the film. The actual first day collections will be published in the noon.

  • East Punjab - 3.2 crore
  • Rajasthan – 2 crore
  • CP Berar – 1.95 cr
  • C.I - 1.45 cr
  • Mysore – 2.5 cr
  • Andhra/Nizam - 2.25 cr
  • West Bengal – 2.3 cr
  • Bihar - 0.8 cr
  • Assam / Orissa – 0.9 cr
  • Tamilnadu / Kerala – 1.05 cr
  • Total from Hindi version – 36.9 cr

Collections from regional versions

  • Telugu – 1.6 cr
  • Tamil – 0.5 cr
  • Total – 2.1 cr

Grand Total from Hindi and regional versions – 39.05 crore
