Alia Bhatt who was recently seen in the PETA commercial for homeless animals celebrates her 21st birthday today. Bhatt, daughter of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and Soni Razdan entered films when she was 19 years old, when she made her debut in Karan Johar’s ‘Student Of The Year’.
Her performance in her recently release film ‘Highway’, won her tremendous critical acclaim. Her third film ‘2 States’ with Arjun Kapoor is all set to release soon.

The film ‘2 States’ co-produced by Sajid Nadiawala and Karan Johar has debutant Abhishek Verman directing it. The story is centered on a Tamil girl who falls in love with a Punjabi boy, as a result of which the cultural clashes erupt in their families.
She is also busy with the film shooting of ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ which has Varun Dhawan starring opposite her.
