Gori Tere Pyaar Mein Hit or Flop: Box Office Prediction

Gori Tere Pyaar MeinPunit Malhotra, the director of ‘I Hate Luv Storys’, returns with yet another romantic comedy for Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. The film features Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, the lead pair of ‘Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu’.

More than 3 years ago, Imran was going through a similar phase in his career. Two of his films (Kidnap and Luck) had tanked without a trace at the box office. It was Malhotra’s last film ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ that revived his career, after which he delivered hits like Delhi Belly and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan.

This year too hasn’t been great for the actor, as two of his most promising films Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola and Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbaai Dobaara have failed to set the cash registers ringing. Will Malhotra’s Gori Tere Pyaar Mein once again prove to be the turning point in his career?

Well, it won’t be easy, as competition is stiff this weekend. The audience is spoilt for choices! Krrish 3 is still doing well at single screens, Ram Leela is performing very well at multiplexes and this week’s release  Singh Saab The Great is likely to open well in the North. Also, there is Bullett Raja and R… Rajkumar releasing in the weeks to come.

Moving on to the positives, the trailer of Gori Tere Pyaar Mein has been received well and the music has caught up too. Also, Dharma Productions, arguably the biggest production house in the industry, has produced the film.

Considering all the factors and the star cast of the film, we expect Gori Tere Pyaar Mein to take a decent start on Friday. The opening day business is likely to be around 5-6 crore, the rest would obviously depend on the audience verdict.

Box Office Predictions for the remaining days below.

For films with strong content, sky is the limit. We have seen how films like Aashiqui 2, OMG! Oh My God, Kahaani, Vicky Donor and many more have gone from strength-to-strength after a slow start. If Gori Tere Pyaar Mein turns out to be an exceptionally well made film, anything is possible!

What do you think – Will Gori Tere Pyaar Mein be a HIT or Flop at the box office? Which film do you plan to watch this weekend? Tell us!
