Rohit Shetty’s Dilwale starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol bagged the top honour at the Golden Kela Awards 2016, as the film was declared as the worst film of 2016. The film, rated ‘4 stars’ by a certain website, went on to gross no less than Rs 380 crore worldwide. If only other ‘worst’ films could gross as much as this did.
Sooraj Pancholi won the Worst Actor award, while Sonam Kapoor bagged the Worst Actress trophy for her performance in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.
The popular ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ title track, a song that went viral on the internet, was declared as the ‘Most annoying song’ of 2015.
Vikas Behl, who won the Filmfare award for Best director last year for ‘Queen’, was honoured with the ’Baawra Ho Gaya Hai Ke’ award for Shaandaar.
Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, another film that was rated ‘4 stars’ and went on to gross nearly 400 crore worldwide, was the biggest winner of the evening – sweeping the Worst Actress, Worst Director, Most annoying song and Bas Kijiye Bahut Ho Gaya trophy.

Don’t understand theirs so much hatred for DILWALE. It was no where near terrible or worst movie of 2015. Was an entertaining film, fans of other stars criticizing it uneccessarily. I’m a diehard Salman Fan and enjoyed DILWALE much more than PRDP. I’m not saying that DILWALE is some path breaking cinema but it was not bad either. It was a nice film overall.

HERO was an okay film or like many said a ‘bad’ film but SOORAJ PANCHOLI acted superbly. People should really grow up and stop blaming him and hating him for Jiah’s death. Learn to appreciate the hard work he has put in the film HERO. He was the only good thing about that film and a well deserved BEST DEBUT MALE of last year, not the worst. I’m not his fan, but jo sach hai so hai.

Roy wasn’t that bad, it was just slow, you can say whatever you want about it but the thing is, you were expecting a thriller while I was expecting a romantic movie with awesome songs…

Well to be honest Dilwale deserves this award.May be it wasn’t the worst considering there were films like Roy,MrX etc but certainly it was the most disappointing film of the year.I even enjoyed Tevar more than it.You expect much much more from a SRK starrer n Dilwale fell way short of it.
I still wonder how can a certain website give it 4 stars. Lol
And collections depend on many other factors,a movie’s quality should not be judged totally by its collections.
As far as PRDP is concerned I haven’t watched it but whoever in my family and friends circle have watched it had bad things to say about it.

Hilarious! Dilwale was a better movie than ShaanDaar (not shaandaar at all). And why did they gave award to Sonakshi? She danced amazingly in Radha Nachegi&Naccha farrate and she acted well too..
I dont like these kind of awards..yes they are for fun but still one have to understand evry film maker do hard work for movie.sometimes its work some times dont but you can not ignore hard work behind this.if you can not apriciate it atleast dont insult..thank you
