Flashback to the last week of 2007, Aamir Khan released Taare Zameen Par, directed by himself and the movie not just sweeped most awards, but also is India’s official entry for the Oscars.

So like last year, when for most people the year seems to end, it just begins for Aamir. Ghajini the much hyped Aamir Khan film of 2008, releases during the Christmas weekend and we sure can expect some fireworks at the box-office.

The music of Ghajini is directed by the legendary A.R. Rehman while the lyrics is done by Prasoon Joshi of Taare Zameen Par fame. The expectations are always high with Rehman as the music composer, but when he teams with Aamir Khan, they invariably end up creating gems. Lagaan, Rang De Basanti, this year’s Jaane Tu Ya Jaana Na … all classic music albums. Ghajini is no different, a couple of songs are fantastic, while the others will grow on you as the trailers hit your television screens. Overall, the much of Ghajini has lived up to expectations!
