A 26 year old British junior artist, who works as a background dancer in Hindi movies, was molested by a salesman when she and her two female friends were boarding an auto-rickshaw here in Mumbai.
The incident took place at Oshiwara in suburban Mumbai on Monday. The accused has been identified as a 36 year old man, who was chased down by the cops, as he tried to escape after inappropriately touching the British actress.
As soon as the woman raised an alarm, two police constables set out in the direction that the man had fled and eventually nabbed him.
The accused, Gaurav Gupta, a resident of Mira Road area, was brought to Oshiwara police station and arrested under IPC Section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty).
