John Abraham’s Force 2 is not holding up at the domestic box office, as the film had to show good trend on Monday and during the rest of the weekdays, to have any chance of recovering costs.
When the film showed growth in business on Saturday, which isn’t usually the case with massy films like ‘Force 2’ there was hope that it would show bigger growth on Sunday and sustain well Monday onwards. That hasn’t happened.
The film had to collect upwards of 45 crore to become a decent grosser at theatres, but it’ll finish with lifetime collections of less than 40 crore. The result will be similar to the 2011 film ‘Force’, which collected 29 crore net more than 5 years ago. Both theatrical flops.

Is the first of force was a flop? I thought average and hoped that the Force 2 will hit the least, given the good numbers on the weekend. John is a good actor, but why is so unlucky in his career? It may still have a chance at least to the average status?
@INDICINE- Why so double standard , how could u declare a film flop with in 3 days and for other film ADHM & Shivaay you had declared verdict after 10 or more days. This is not fair at all.
I don’t know why bollywood is making sequels to flop films. This shows the desperation of actors of getting a hit. I feel pity on them…instead of concentrating on better stories n acting they are trying to fool the audience with these good for nothing sequels…n then people complain of bollywood being behind of holly wood..!

dear friend K.K.Rai, this is not a double standard imposed verdict collection. because of the trends, if the film shows stability during the week, the verdict will be pronounced next week, when both films ADHM & Shivaay were stable at the box office, but really Force fell figures on weekdays, so hope for the restoration of the budget is very small

Watch it. Dont repeat what you Did to Shivaay. You did a heavy blunder no site had dared to and you want to repeat it? So called trade figure of Shivaay from Boi 1st day has now been updated to 9.37 from 8.23,even them know they did some big mistake especially when they saw even 4th week Shivaay is still going well so how the h**l could you have declared it flop? Its not even a below Average grosser its now an Average grosser while Adhm is going as ? Plus with budget 95 cr you how can it be called a Hit? This is BOiI budget.
If Shivaay is Flop why haven’t you included it Ajay Devgn movie list in your site? Only time will tell who which people were using sentiments to degrade Someone.

Force 2 is really a vet nice movie and great way of respecting our RAW agents. Unfortunately, sad to see it is flop. May be people want to see Pakistan back drop instead of China and the villain also as pakistani. Such a disgrace!!!
Ok rai don’t compare force 2 with Those Diwali movies that have a Superstar and Upcoming superstar plus the hype buzz craze ,controversy is enough to respect both movies and wait a little longer even though it was sad Indicine fooled us with Shivaay Verdict.
The film is actually really good….they should have postponed it to an another date…..may be if the money problem didn’t happened then it should have been crossed the 50cr mark….

This year has been terrible for the industry.Almost every sequel has failed at the box office.I had high hopes from Force 2 but even it failed to get a Hit status.Last one is Kahaani 2,I hope it succeeds.

John should now finally stop doing Solo movies (like junior Bachchan). If Dishoom wouldn’t have Varun, it would be a flop and not Average grosser.
Force received mixed reviews from critics and was a flop, then why did the makers decide to make a second installment (sequel) of it ?

The trend of Sequels biting the dust continues . Rock On 2 is a massive disaster and has dented the following of the Prequel . Tum Bin 2 is a failure as well despite good songs . John as a Solo Hero is just not working . WB was a semi Hit despite having the Sequel factor . Rocky Handsome was a box office failure . Dishoom emerged as a success but the entire credit cannot be given to John as it was a 2 Hero movie . Now Force 2 is also facing a tough time despite getting good reviews for action genre . Tough time for John and Sonakshi .
I really feel bad when good movies fail at the box office for e.g Fan,Shivaay etc which even tells the taste of the audience nowadays which is really bad but I don’t blame them since some highly classified shivering actors aka sadakchap dancers r spoiling their mood each & every time they come onscreen generating craps after craps & I even ask u ppl how would u feel after coming to the theatres & watching the buffalo horn dance in a bakra & bakri style???U will feel disgusted,fooled & cheated if I m right & I also appreciate u giving a Tit for tat with a DISASTER verdict.

What’s happening to d sequels in this year.all have failed miserably except housefull 3.even hf3 fell short of HF 2.but still its a box office hit .
I’m really very sad that this film flopped. It was a really good film and better than other spy films like ETK storywise actingwise also. the action shown was almost Hollywood level. John u have my respect, u have taken bollywood action to new level. Rocky handsome, force 2 are superhits for me.
