Filmfare Awards Best Actor (Male)

Aamir Khan (Ghajini)
Hrithik Roshan (Jodhaa Akbar)
Akshay Kumar (Singh Is King)
Naseeruddin Shah (A Wednesday)
Shahrukh Khan (Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi)
Abhishek Bachchan (Dostana)

We say – As many Indicine members feel, Shahid Kapoor deserved a nomination ahead of Abhishek Bachchan.

Filmfare Awards Best Actor (Female)

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (Jodhaa Akbar)
Priyanka Chopra (Fashion)
Asin (Ghajini)
Anushka Sharma (Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi)
Kajol (U Me Aur Hum)

We say – If Asin and Anushka deserved nominations, then why no Genelia D’Souza or Prachi Desai? Genelia was like a breath of fresh air in Jaane Tu. And Prachi Desai was fabulous in Rock On!! Is it because they were not cast opposite the likes of Shahrukh Khan / Aamir Khan?

Filmfare Awards Best Film

Dostana
Jodhaa Akbar
Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi
Ghajini
Rock On!!
Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na

Notes – A Wednesday deserved a nomination for best film. Quality wise much better than the likes of Rab Ne, Dostana, Ghajini and Jaane Tu.

Filmfare Awards Best Director

Ashutosh Gowariker (Jodhaa Akbar)
A.R Murugadoss (Ghajini)
Aditya Chopra (Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi)
Abhishek Kapoor (Rock On!!)
Madhur Bhandarkar (Fashion)
Neeraj Pandey (A Wednesday)

Filmfare Awards Best Actor in Supporting Role (Male)

Abhishek Bachchan (Sarkar Raj)
Arjun Rampal (Rock On!!)
Prateik Barber (Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na)
Sonu Sood (Jodhaa Akbar)
Tusshar Kapoor (Golmaal Returns)
Vinay Pathak (Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi)

We say – As the nominations for Best Actor in a Comic role are not out, it remains to be seen if Tusshar will be nominated in both categories. We feel he should have been nominated in the Comic Role category. And Vinay Pathak for Rab Ne is a surprise inclusion, he was strictly average!

Filmfare Awards Best Actor in Supporting Role (Female)

Bipasha Basu (Bachna Ae Haseeno)
Kangana Ranaut (Fashion)
Kirron Kher (Dostana)
Ratna Pathak Shah (Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na)
Shahana Goswami (Rock On!!)

Filmfare Awards Best Music

A.R. Rehman (Ghajini)
A.R. Rehman (Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na)
A.R. Rehman (Jodhaa Akbar)
Pritam Chakraborty (Race)
Shankar – Ehsaan – Loy (Rock On!!)
Vishal – Shekar (Dostana)

We Say – While A.R. Rehman has a great chance of winning an Oscar at the Academy Awards this year, he has tough competition at the Filmfare Awards. Music by Shankar Ehsaan Loy, Pritam and Vishal Shekar was hugely popular last year.

Filmfare Awards Best Lyrics

Abbas Tyrewala for Kabhi Kabhi Aditi (Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na)
Gulzar for Tu Meri Dost Hai (Yuvvraaj)
Jaideep Sahni for Haule Haule (Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi)
Javed Akhtar for Jashn-e-bahara (Jodhaa Akbar)
Javed Akhtar for Socha Hai (Rock On)

Filmfare Awards Best Playback Singer (Male)

Farhan Akhtar for Socha Hai (Rock On)
KK for Khuda Jaane (Bachna Ae Haseeno)
KK for Zara Si Dil Mein (Jannat)
Rashid Ali for Kabhi Kabhi Aditi (Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na)
Sonu Nigam for Inn Lamhon Ke (Jodhaa Akbar)
Sukhwinder Singh for Haule Haule (Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi)

We say – Guzarish, Pehli Nazar Mein missed out. And so did many others who deserved a nomination ahead of Farhan Akhtar!! Did Farhan deserve a nomination for Best Playback Singer??

Filmfare Awards Best Playback Singer (Female)

Alka Yagnik for Tu Muskura (Yuvvraaj)
Neha Bhasin for Kuch Khaas Hai (Fashion)
Shilpa Rao for Khuda Jaane (Bachna Ae Haseeno)
Shreya Ghoshal for Teri Ore (Singh Is Kinng)

  • Best actor should only go to aamir. He has done great job in ghajini. Pls sharukh don’t fix it, this time its aamir. Aamir also missed the award for his performance in ghulam, sarfarosh, aaa, dch, fanaa only because of fixing made by his contenders. I knw he wont attend the awards , eventhough reward him wid the best.

  • shreya won for teri ore!!!???
it was such an unfair decision….she sang all simple notes….tu muskura was far more challenging..ALKAJI SHUD HAV WON THE AWARD..SHE DESERVED IT MUCH MORE!!!!its totally unfair!

  • Yeah its totally unfair..

Alka Yagnik Deserves… Tu muskura was hard song…………….. i nver thought filmfare will such a silly mistake……………..

shreya’s teri ore is a very simple notes…

  • Dear Rahul….

For your kind information Slumdog millionaire is a this year film(2009). And your judgement of music category is Absolutely wrong..

Female Playback SInger ———- ALKA YAGNIK. (TU MUSKURA) rather than Shreya
Best Music—Rahman(Jane tu) rather that Vishal Shekar
Male Playback is ok… Bakhuda(ATIF)………. or KK(zara si)

This year filmfare was totally unfair with Amir Khan, Alka Yagnik and KK….

Haule Haule song was nothing in fornt of KK’s zara si…. And why not Atif aslam bec he is Pakistani…???

Teri ore songs notes are very simple. any singer can sing… But Tu Muskura Rahman Composed, not easy to sing…. Alka did a fabulous job in that song…. then Y sherya????

THank God sharukh didnt get even a single award….

  • Dr RC Patel, Indicine team , Ram Caramel, Sunanda Baneerjee Adam ,Vipul, Baishaki, Sona, Baishaki ,UIA, Rahul Viran Nayaran and to all those who have misconception thtat Hritik is great actor and does not fix award try to answer this……………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

1 How could you win award for kepping your face being hidden by Mask all time for Krish(by Star Plus awards)
2 How could you win award if you are villan and your is poor one in Dhoom 2(Filmfare)

The lobby of Hritik Roshan is made has left clue of their crime of fixing awards by awarding Hritik R for these performance namely Krish And Dhoom 2 and many others
and also for all the awards he has won since his carrer began………………………………………

As They say you can’t fool all of the people all of the time……………………………………….. ………………

  • Just noticed your comment Kamal Patel

    1) There is a lot more to Hrithik’s performance in Krrish than just being hidden behind a mask. First of all, he was behind the mask for about 45 mins in the films. For the rest of the movie, it was a normal role. Then comes Body Language and Mannerisms which Hrithik perfected while the mask hid his face. He was also perfect as the old Rohit. Overall fully deserved the award.

    2) Yes, he should have won for Krrish and not D2

  • alka yagnik deserves d filmfare next year for d super hit RINGA RINGA from slumdog or KAL NAU BAJE from shortcut.
