After a year filled with good performances and some great movies, the nominations for India’s oldest awards the 58th Idea Filmfare Awards 2013 are out. Barfi has received the most number of nominations – as many as 9 in the 10 popular categories. Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs Of Wasseypur has bagged 6 nominations, closely followed by Karan Malhotra’s Agneepath (5 nominations).
Unfortunately, one of the best films of 2012, Paan Singh Tomar, winner of the Colors Screen Awards 2013 for Best Film, has missed out in all categories except Best Actor in a leading role (Irrfan Khan).

How many times should i shout that salman never cared for this awards in the past, nor does he care about them in the present nor will he be in the future and so will be his millions of fans but on the other hand if srk doesnt even win atleast one award (even if it is ghanta or golden khela) a year, his fans will cry anyway but srk will cry the most. Poor srk, na films achi tara se chal rahe hai india mei, na awards mil rahe hai jitne pehle milte thei(by buying) aur upar se fan following,star power or dignity tho decrease hothi ja rahi hai. Barfi was good but not better than films like Agneepath, Paan Singh Tomar and English Vinglish but it got most number nominations?
Film’fare’ award were supposed to be ‘Fair’ that’s why I am following only this award function along with National Awards.
one more thing when i was checking the zee cine awards history winners i got shocked that almost all winners of zee cine and filmfare r same whether best actor award, best film award een best male singer awards and other awards how can both be so same when zee declare itself that its public voting based award it means zee is also fake and making audience fools that its r public award it means in this year Salman get zee most popular actor award lret see whether he gets in filmfare too or not. but undoubtly salman is deserving in popular category when come to public voting but here i want to say both zee and filmfare r same, their jury r same so the winners r same per year so in my opinion screen awards r something good not purely unbias but they r better than filmfare and zee both, but i was shocked that colors screen also not nominated OMG for best mpovie category and Sonu nigam for Abhi mujh me kahin song in male singel list i thing nly these 2 mistake they did in 2012 award rest nomination and winners r fair according to me……

The bias of Filmfare Awards are on show once again. My god how could they nominate SRK ahead of Aamirs performance of a distraught father and a riveting performance as a no nonsense cop? Oh I got it now- I guess SRK has requested/pleaded with the organisers to nominate him or else he wont perform at Awards function and mimmick Salmans dance moves!!!
@IMO you joker, Aamir has some sense of pride unlike your SRK. He boycotts these Award Functions for many reasons but in regards to Filmfare let me tell you what happened. Khalil of Filmfare said Aamir would win Best Actor Award for Rangeela but the catch however was that Aamir had to perform on stage. This didnt sit right with Aamir and only reaffirmed his belief that awards are handed out for favours in return. So he rightly excused himself from all Award shows in future. This is the truth and later admitted by the current Editor of Filmfare.

@niks So true bro. Awards nowadays are going to ‘stage performers on the night itself’!!! Gone are the days when Naseeruddin Shah (1981, 1982), Anupam Kher (1985), Kamal Hassan (1986) and Nana Patekar (1995) won Best Actor Awards without having to “get down and jump around dancing like a headless chicken.” Awards were given to deserving performers who could actually act. This was good and so people never had a problem with the winners but in the last 20 years the winners of these awards tend to be more controversial. Its a shame but who really cares about these awards, just those few media attention seeking celebrities- most of whom are B grade or C grade standard actors and actresses.

@Navin agreed …but very soon i think it will change…somebody will change this corrupt system of giving awards to undeserving candidates….in 1995 no actor had given a super duper successful movie so they had to give ‘Nana Patekar ” best award …that one was also forced my friend…if Anil Kapoor, sunny deol or srk would have given a super blockbuster iam pretty sure Nana Patekar would have never got anything…same was the case in 1997(raja hindustani released 96) was given Best Actor bcoz that year nobody gave a colossal hit otherwise filmfare would have ingnored him straightaway….the list is endless…Filmfare once in a blue moon gives award to deserving ones (srk for swades though movie failed at box office ) but yeah den it was srk :P
