At the Filmfare Awards held last night, Paa swept the acting awards with Amitabh Bachchan winning Best Actor and Vidya Balan winning Best Actress awards. The Bachchan’s though weren’t present at the awards ceremony as Mumbai Mirror hasn’t yet apologized to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
There were a couple of surprises though, Boman Irani won the Best Actor supporting role and Ranbir Kapoor won the Best Actor Critics awards. Check out the list of award winners and tell us what you think below in the comments section.

I agree with srk_fan. Althoug A.R.Rahman is a great musician,it doesn’t mean that every year one of his music albums should who the award. I also wanted Pritam to win the award. He has done a couple of wonderful albums this year.

unbelivable that blue didnt won an award for best cinamatography but DEV d won it . iam really surprised . in terms of cinematography in the year 2009 no film manages to be anywhere close to Blue .

i was checking wikipedia and in AKKI filmology it shows that AKKI did around 12 films in 1994 . is it true ? it might be record for an year by a lead actor . jai kishen was successful???

Best actor, supporting Role: I hated Boman Iran’s role in 3 Idiots.. Sharman or Madhavan deserved more to win
Best actress supporting role: Kiron Kher deserved it for Kurban
Best music A.R. Rahman for Delhi 6: it was nice, but Genda pool was better than Mazak Ali, the best music and songs of the year were Atif Aslam’s songs of APKGK, I loved also Rishte Naate fm DDD, actually there were many good songs and music which deserved more than Delhi 6’s songs e.g. Khudaya Ve from the movie Luck was very nice song too.
All I can say that some ppl deserved and some not.. it happens in all the award’s functions

Big B n avay deol should be awarded as best actor(critics). 3 idiots deserves awards for best movie n best story,it got those.Priyanka deserves best actreess(popular)award for kaminey n kareena deserves best actress(critics) for kurbaan.Vidya deserves best supporting actress award for paa.I think that filmfare nominated n awarded wrong person in wrong category except the case of 3 idiots getting best story n best film awards.

Rahman to win, there’re many many good songs and I’m really surprised that Atif Aslam wasn’t chosen as the best singer of 2009!! in the past, I didn’t like his voice, but after hearing his songs of APKGK I liked him, and the music of Ahua Ahua from Love Aaj Kal was great.. which way these ppl value songs, singers, movies, etc. I don’t know!! they consider some as best and for lots of ppl are just.. crap!
Dhrubo: what story was in 3 Idiots?!! it deserved to win only the best movie in a comic role.. that’s all!! so what was the story of 3 Idiots?!!! 3 boys in the college, one has to obey his dad and to fulfill his dream (Madhavan) the other one is a poor guy who can’t support his family financially (Sharman) the 3rd one is smart, who joined the college with a fake name (Aamir Khan), and… what? what then?! what was the great story in 3 Idiots?!!! yeah.. there was a few messages in the movie for the audience but few messages wl not make it a good story.. Paa was a good story.. it really deserved to win and Love Aaj Kal too.

I’ll tell u why u found it boring.. it depends which type of movies u like, obviously u love comedy movies, so for ppl who love only to laugh, movies like MNIK, Aamir, Paa, Wednesday, Johny Ghaddar, Sarkar.. all these movies wl be boring.. and I think that the most entertaining of these serious movies was MNIK & Paa because they were some serious issues with some funny scenes.. so how do u say that it was a boring movie?!!!!
