Farooq Sheikh dead: Actor suffers massive heart attack

Farooq SheikhNational Award winning actor Farooq Sheikh passed away late last night in Dubai after suffering from a massive heart attack.

The 64-year-old actor, who was last seen in films like Club 60 and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, was in Dubai on a family holiday (some source say, that the actor travelled to Dubai for a concert) when he suffered from a heart attack.

His mortal remains will be brought to Mumbai later today.

Sheikh was best known for his roles in Shatranj Ke Khiladi, Chashme Baddoor (a film that was recently remade by David Dhawan) and Bazaar.

He won the 2010 National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Lahore.

In the 90s, Sheikh was popular for his roles in television serials like Chamatkar and Ji Mantriji.
