Farhan Akhtar has worked with 3 of the top Khan’s in the industry and made outstanding films with Aamir, Shahrukh and Saif. But so far, the director has never worked with his childhood friend Salman Khan.
Fortunately for us, the audience, he has plans of casting Salman in a film soon and is said to have approached the actor twice over the last few years for roles which were thought to be well suited for the star.
For those unaware, both Salman and Farhan are sons of legendary script-writers Salim and Javed, who together wrote scripts for many blockbusters. Their sons having inherited the best of their respective fathers, have achieved huge success and created a niche for themselves in the industry. Although Salim and Javed had rifts in the past, both were sensible enough to keep their children out of it.
The talented actor-director-producer also adds that he and Salman grew up together and although they are not the best of friends, Salman taught him cycling and swimming when they were young. In fact there was a time when Salman’s siblings Sohail Khan, Alvira and Arbaaz used to hang out with him and his sister Zoya Akhtar.
He concludes by saying that his production house will continue to approach the actor, hoping that someday Salman will accept his offer.
