Farhan Akhtar and Sonakshi Sinha won the top acting honours at the Zee Cine Awards 2014, which was held in Mumbai on February 8th.
Farhan has won almost every award in the industry for his outstanding performance as Milkha Singh in Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra’s biopic on the legendary sprinter.
The Zee Cine Awards 2014 for Best Actress (Jury) went to Sonakshi, her first award for her critically acclaimed act in Lootera. Although she received nominations at all other award ceremonies, she lost out to Deepika Padukone’s performance in Ram Leela.

Sonakshi is truely deserving for critics.farhan was deserving for popular.but award was bought by srk.in critics,irfan khan,rajkumar rao,ranveer in lootera were better choice.

ATBB declared by trade on the basis of unexpecting lifetime collection of any film, with huge distributer share & no. of footfalls.
1975- Sholay was declared ATBB as collected 15cr collection and broken Mughle Azam collection record by trippling the collection.
1994- Hahk was first movie to break the record of Sholay by collection 69cr. before HAHK movies like MPK & Aankhen were declared ATBB’s as both collected 14 cr, but before HAHK, 14 cr is enough to declare a movie to ATBB as no of footfalls were huge than any other blockbuster movies.
2001- Gadar broke HAHK record collected 76cr despited being clshed with Successful Lagaan.
2008- Ghajini Break record of Dhoom 2 colection & Gadar Distributer Share & became first movie to join 100cr club.
2009- 3I broken Ghajini record & collected 202cr and first movie to collect 200cr
2013- Dhoom 3 first movie to collected 250cr & touched 275cr mark if we take all india collection, hindi version is 262cr & declared ATBB.
Now question is why Dhoom 2,ce,oso,Rnbdj wasn’t declared ATBB, & why its been blockbusters only. the reason is.
1. Dhoom 2 in 2006 crossed the Gadar nett collection and colled 80cr, 4 cr more than Gadar i.e. 5% higher but eventually failed to cross Gadar’s distributer share.
other point was in 2006 LRM (72cr) was 2nd highest grosser & Krissh (69cr), D2 collected 11% more than LRM & 14% more than Krissh which seems not so huge difference. so was BB only.
2. OSO- oso wasn’t accepted highest grosser by any site while earlier it been referred as highest grosser of all time as collected 86cr, i.e. 7.5% more than Dhoom2, again this movie Distributer share is less than Gadar’s, 2nd highest grosser in 2007 was Welcome 71cr, point to be note that both OSO & welcome had clash with Saawariya & TZP respectively, while Saawariya was a wash out and TZP was 4th highest grosser of same year with 63cr. So welcome collection is also pretty neck to neck with oso, if TZP was also flopped like Saawariya than welcome easily reached to 78-80cr mark that year, but after sometime the collection of OSO was found to be actuals around 79.5cr and accepted by all so it had not break Dhoom 2 collection.

3. RNBDJ-86.7cr a huge misconception of SRKIANs that RNBDJ crossed 80cr mark of Dhoom 2 earlier than Ghajini and this is complete wrong and i tell you how.
RNBDJ released on 12th dec,2008 & Ghajini on 25th dec (ghajini had 4 days extended weekend).
RNBDJ- 1st week collection-42cr
2nd week collection- 24cr
3rd week collection-9
4th week collection-3.5cr total(78.5cr)
Rest of week-8cr.
Ghajini- first week of 8 days-64cr.
2nd week-26cr (total 90cr)
RNDBJ 4th week ended on 09jan,2009 & Ghajini 2 week ended on 09th jan,2009 so when RNBDJ was on 78.5cr that time, Ghajini toughed 90cr mark & broken the Distributer share of Gadar.
Ghajini>Dhoom2-42.5% more
Ghajini>RNBDJ-32% more
4. CE-208 cr broken 3I 202cr figure with 3% higher collection, in 2013 before Ce, YJHD collected 179cr on non-holiday & 2nd highest grosser was ETT-186cr.
Ce>3I- 3% higher.
CE>ETT-12% higher (2012)
CE>YJHD-16% higher (2013)
the growth of business of bollywood is so huge that with D3 we witness 102cr(all india) collection in just 3 day on normal weekend, so 3% higher collection than previous film can’t made you to call an ATBB & it was known by all & trade confirm that no. of footfalls of CE was less than ETT.
while D3 All India collection was 274-275cr all languages so it collected, 32% more than CE & 35% more than 3I, if we take only hindi figure of D3 of 262cr than still 26% more than CE. So a difference of 25%-32% is sufficient for a film to declare ATBB.
So if we see movies like Ghajni,3I,D3 we found the collection of all 3 movie were min.30% highere than previous highest grosser, but in case od Dhoom2,CE & oso it was even less than 10%, plus movies like OSO & Dhoom2 failed to break the distributer share of previous record holder Gadar. this is calling the notable growth in business.
its great that sona won this time, although i was still confusing what Deepika had done this year in acting department as she is taking popular/jury both category, truly indigestible for me.
and Farhan was the best last year and its good he got all his due.

salman has more fanbase but salman’s most fans are single screen audience so no one there to watch
i like srk but this year he didnt deserve the popular award it should have been given to hrithik roshan or krrish 3 or ranveer singh for ram leela

@damn:there was nothing great in lootera? ? ?seriously man,i didn’t expect this from u.lootera is a purely masterpiece. Just type “best bollywood movie of 2013p” and google it.you will get your answer. Sonakshi played the role of asthma patient and the last scene was based on writer o henry’s last leaf.u didn’t like it.it shows u couldn’t understand it. I am nt dumb to cry always. It was lootera that made me cry through its poignance. I cried for more than half an hour. It’ll remain as my all time fav. Also it was the 2nd most critically acclaimed film of 2013.

Lootera should win Nobel prize for Greatest film in human history. Vikramaditya Motwane should be elected Prime Minister of India for making such a unbelievably great film.
And give Bharat Ratnas to Sonakshi, Ranveer, all the producers and every single person worked on Lootera. Even the spotboys should be given Bharat Ratnas.
