The much-awaited sequel to the 2008 film ‘Rock On’ has gone on floors in Shillong, ’Rock capital of India’.
Sources say, Farhan Akhtar, the lead star of the film, reached Meghalaya on October 4th. The shooting is currently taking place in a private property in Mawprem, Shillong. There are also reports that a local Shillong band will be a part of the film.
The film will be shot in several locations across the state of Meghalaya over a period of about 2 months. The first shooting schedule is expected to be wrapped up in December this year.

The script of the film demands picturesque locations and Shillong, which is said to be huge when it comes to rock music, fits the bill. The Chief Minister of Meghalaya is also keen on the film to be shot here.
Directed by Shujaat Saudagar, Rock On 2 also stars Shraddha Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Prachi Desai, Purab Kohli, Sonu Sood and Shashank Arora.
