There are quite a few common factors between Ek Villain, Baaghi and ABCD 2. All three films featured the young and rising stars of the industry, all three had Shraddha Kapoor as the female lead and each of those films appealed to audience at smaller centres.
Due to chartbuster music and Mohit Suri returning after the huge success of ‘Aashiqui 2’, Ek Villain took the best opening of the three and also recorded the highest weekend and first week. ABCD 2, which was a sequel to a successful film, comes second with first week business of 71.78 crore.
Baaghi’s first week collections is the lowest of the three films, but Tiger Shroff is just one film old and he didn’t have other factors like music or sequel in his favour.

are the reports about baadshaho’s delay true ?
@indicine- there are reports that baadshaho is being postponed as the film will not be completed till January. Is it true? If it is, why was the director of the movie Milan Luthria saying that they won’t postpone their film just a day ago. Didn’t he know that the movie will not be completed on time? Isn’t this unethical? Showing attitude and scaring away someone just because of one flop and one underperformer before that.

Unfair to compare as it is mentioned in this article that Ek Villain had chartbuster music, one of the best of 2014, ABCD was a franchise movie. Baaghi is doing well when we consider it’s riding solely on Tiger’s action and Shradhha’s popularity (which doesn’t make a difference after 1st weekend). It’s looking like it will finish just over 80 crore.
