The inevitable has happened. We reported last night that ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ was cleared in Pakistan. We were informed about the same by a journalist friend and also actor Ali Zafar. Unfortunately, the news wasn’t true.
The Pakistani censor board watched the film on Thursday evening and decided it wasn’t suitable for it’s audience. The message to Indian filmmakers, if they want their films to release in Pakistan, is pretty clear – don’t involve the ISI.
Having watched the film, Ek Tha Tiger wasn’t anti-Pakistani. Infact, it had a good message of peace and friendship.
There is still a chance for the film to release after EID, as sources say, the censor board will meet and re-discuss.
Here’s hoping that the Pakistani fans get to see Ek Tha Tiger in theatres and are not forced to watch the film on pirates DVDs.

Its not ‘do boondh’.. The makers will lose about 10 – 15 crores, if it doesn’t release in Pakistan.
They can edit ISI into some other name to release Pakistan without controversy.
