T-Series’ Ek Paheli Leela starring Sunny Leone has sustained fairly well at the domestic box office. The movie has collected Rs 2.18 crore on Monday, taking its 4-day collections to Rs 18.03 crore net.
Due to the poor response at multiplexes, exhibitors reduced the number of shows. Mass-dominated centres held up well.
Ek Paheli Leela should collect around Rs 23-24 crore in its first week at the box office.
In comparison, Sunny Leone’s last film Ragini MMS 2 collected 8.32 cr on Friday, 7.25 crore on Saturday, 8.35 crore on Sunday and 4.5 crore on Monday. The 4-day total was Rs 28.42 crore and the movie was declared a HIT in its first weekend itself. This just goes to show the difference that one chartbuster like ‘Baby Doll’ makes to a film.
