Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam releases in theatres today (previews shows at multiplexes) and the film isn’t carrying much buzz, apart from the pre-release reports which are terrific.
The film will rely on word-of-mouth publicity to recover costs and the growth in business on Saturday and Sunday will be important for the Nishikant Kamat directed remake. Even though the clash between Drishyam and Bangistaan has been averted, the Ajay Devgn film will be competing against Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
The Salman Khan starrer will provide tough competition, due to the fact that it’s carrying excellent word-of-mouth. In fact, the trade expects the 3rd Friday collections of the film to be about the same level as the opening day of ‘Drishyam’

I hope it doesnt affect BB much because BB deserves to cross 350 crores. But at the same time I also want this film to cross 100 crores considering its small budget, if it crosses 100 crores than it will be considered a huge success.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan will beat PK if Drishyam does below expectations…..
I hope drishyam will hit & collect gud collection & also bajrangi bhaijan cross 300cr in 3rd weekend……salman.ajay will rock……
it will be flop infront of bhaijaan it can be hit be if word of mouth will be incredible but i am sure bb will completely dominate drishyam
Whatever maybe the opening but the movie will be highly appreciated and it would grow in the weekdays.Drishyam has an outstanding script.None of its remakes have failed and the Hindi version won’t be any exception.

I think the prediction of First Day Collections are reasonable . I am not expecting huge box office numbers from Drishyam because it is a thriller and such kind of movies don’t do huge business . e.g. Taalash, Special 26 and Baby . Movies like D-Day and Madras Cafe were failures . I am happy to see Ajay in a performance oriented role . He is gem of a actor but his choices have been pathetic but i hope Drishyam changes everything . Also Tabu is one of the finest actresses of Bollywood . If the content is good then it will do very good business on Saturday and Sunday and will also do well on weekdays . Because it has 2 weeks before Brothers . I don’t think Bangistaan can affect Drishyam much . I am huge fan of Ajay and he is my 2nd favourite after Hrithik . I hope Drishyam becomes a Hit and if possible becomes a well deserved 100 CR Grosser . Fingers Crossed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes BB deserve More than 340 cr and i will be happy if it beat PK..But looking at that this stage BB will just about 1 to 2 Cr short of PK.Salman haa never given highest all time grosser after HAHK but SRK given 3 OSO,RNBJ and CE all movie was for highest grosser for shortest time and Amir khan given Gajani,CE,D3 And PK.About weekend Collection SRK has ra-One RNBJ CE , HNY amir has Gajani and D3 salamn has Bodygaurd and Dabanag. that the reason SRK called as King Khan
My prediction is 6.5-7cr. Because WOM is extremely positive & will work big time in multiplex.

Both BB and Drishyam will do well without effecting each other. Because BB will rock in single screens & Drishyam will work in multiplex basically.

5-5.5cr is too low. Despite BB I believe at high end plexes n big cities it will do well- I cant wait to watch this tomorrow night- I reckon 8-9cr is a good start 35cr weekend is possible.
For BB to have a 20- 25cr weekend it needs a 5-6cr friday to kickstart its weekend.
