When Ashutosh Gowariker recently approached Salman Khan with a lead role in his upcoming films, Salman with a straight face, reportedly told Ashutosh that “I don’t do good films. I only do hit films. I work in films that make money, not the ones that get awards.”
He also later went on to add that, Ashutosh has a strict work schedule that starts at morning 9 and Salman only arrives on sets in the noon.
Recently at an awards function, when asked if he’s expecting to win any awards, the actor bluntly said “I am happy with the rewards coming my way. People like me and my films. They go watch it in theaters. My films make money, I am happy. I am ok if I dont get awards.”
In an industry where fortunes keep fluctuating and relationships keep changing every Friday, come what may, Salman hasn’t changed. In failure or success, it’s always been ‘my way or the highway’ and it’s that very attitude that has made him the biggest star in the country. Which reminds us, that it could change this Friday!
