Dilwale Total Collections in 4 days

Shah Rukh Khan’s Dilwale has shown a bigger than expected decline at the domestic box office on Monday. For the first time, the film has dropped below the collections of the other release last weekend, Bajirao Mastani.

In previous clashes, Om Shanti Om was always ahead of Saawariya and Jaan-e-Mann never managed to beat Don. In 2012, Son Of Sardaar did manage to beat Jab Tak Hai Jaan, but it was only on the 7th day i.e after the holiday period was over. Also, both films received a mixed response. In the current clash between Bajirao Mastani and Dilwale, the former has managed to overtake the later on the 4th day itself and the holiday period is yet to begin. The other factor in favour of Bajirao Mastani is the reports that it’s carrying – even on social media, celebrities have gone all out to praise the film. The trade for some reason, is not backing the SRK film this time around.

From the paying public point of view; until now, during most festival seasons, they had only one choice. It’s either a Khan movie or nothing at all. This time around, there was a Rohit Shetty entertainer, a timepass film against a Sanjay Leela Bhansali historical masterpiece that everyone seems to be liking and appreciating.

Star value and fan wars aside, for the normal moviegoer who has to spend upwards of 400 rupees per multiplex ticket, the choice was obvious.

The big task for Dilwale is to hold strongly in the next 2 days. It’s from Thursday evening that the holiday season will begin and if Dilwale has to take advantage of the big Christmas holiday, it has to boost the confidence of exhibitors by showing no more than 10% drops in the next couple of days.

The film is still performing well in a few circuits, especially at mass centres. The footfalls of Dilwale on Monday was more than Bajirao Mastani, but the places where it’s performing well, the ticket prices are on the lower side. The bigger centres have shown alarming drops and it’s here where Bajirao Mastani has taken the lead.

Yes, there are a few shows that have been cancelled, others have been disrupted. SRK has also said that the family audience is scared to come to theatres. All this is true, but the fact remains – things have only improved in the last few days, which in other words also means the hold on Monday should have been better than it was.

  • why dont u guys posting screens nos???
if you consider footfalls Dilwale’s footfalls are much more than BM

still Dilwale will win this battle by a big mergin…Bm can’t catch Dilwale…

  • Dilwale is still 18 crores + ahead of bhajipao…christmas abhi baaki hai..a loads of fans r waiting for christmas weekend…

  • Dilwale – 65.09 + 56.38 = 121.47cr WW
    BM – 46.77 + 29.85 = 76.62cr WW
Difference Of 45cr In Just 3 Days With Same no. Of Screens !!
    SRK _/\_ .

  • Dilwale has created a Weekend record in Pakistan shattering previous Weekend record Dhoom 3 for Hindi film in Pakistan.. Overall film has registered 3rd biggest Weekend ever as collections went around 6.4cr approx..

Film saw around 675 shows over the Weekend and ran with over 90% occupancies which is phenomenal considering non-Holiday period and clash from Bajirao Mastani.. Film fell short by more than 1 crore from Furious 7 and Jawani Phir Nahi both were solo releases whereas Jawani Phir Nahi came alongside Eid..

    Below is Weekend daily business..

    Friday.. 2.12cr

    Saturday.. 2.25cr

    Sunday.. 2.05cr

    Total.. 6.42cr

Film has been phenomenal today again is all set for over 10cr Week One and that too with no major holiday and having limited shows sue to release of Bajirao Mastani.. Both Bajirao Mastani and Dilwale has combined put i biggest Weekend ever for cinema history…

  • 10+ cr total is decent for a big movie.
The way you reported in previous article, I thought its going to be below 10 cr.
Fact is, it looks bigger drop for us because collections are being compared with other release i.e. BM.
But if we see independently, then a collection of 10cr+ on Monday , with 2800-3000 screens is quite good.
Yes, Dilwale should maintain the same momentum in coming day for a decent box-office total.

  • SRK fans stop posting manipulated figure:

PRDP Solo Starer= highest day and opening (salman khan)
Bajrangi bhaijaan Solo starer = highest weekend( salman khan)
Bajrangi bhaijaan Solo starer= highest Overseas first phase (salman khan)
Amir khan = Highest worldwide and domestic

All of the movies that you have listed by SRK were multi starer movies plus the figures were manipulated. Salman and Aamir are at the top but don’t know where SRK is after this loss.

Three letters for SRK fans: R.I.P
Three words for SRK: Payback is b!tch!!!!

Congrats to the team of Bajirao Mastani :)

  • earlier dilwale was srk film but after seeing collection indicine made it rohit shetty’s
    Dilwale lifetime below 150 cr

  • Highest 1st DAY -: Srk (HNY-45CR)

    HIGHEST WEEKND-:SRK (HNY-109CR)

HIGHEST 1ST DAY OVERSEAS-: SRK (DILWALE-22.61CR)

HIGHEST MOVIE TOTAL GROSS COLLECTION – AMIR (PK-700CR)

    WHERE IS SALMAN ?

    HI….

  • BAJIRAO… ( blockbuster on way )

    1st Monday = 10.25cr

    – 44% drop from Sunday
    – 20% drop from Friday
    ____________
    DILWALE…. ( flop on the way )

    1st Monday = 10.09

    – 58% drop from Sunday
    – 52% drop from Monday

    Totally decline by audience

  • Now
    dilwale … 120 Cr Lifetime

    Bajirao … 150 Cr Lifetime

SRK fans and SRK based sites are putting this reasons or that reasons for DILWALE is not performing well at the BOX OFFICE. All things are just excuses

    SOME IMPORTANT FACTORS;
SCREENS : Dilwale got 3200 screens but film like 3I earned 202 Cr even in less screens as compared to Dilwale. Dilwale have to perform its own in 3200 screens which are enough to achieve magical margin like 200 Cr even with clash in this growing market. Where is less screens for Dilwale? there are many such examples like this

PROTEST : Dilwale is facing protests but film like JODHAA AKBAR have done outstanding business at the BOX OFFICE despite bigger protests as compared to Dilwale and Jodhaa Akbar was never played in 2-3 states of BHARAT like Gujrat. There are many such examples like this

CLASH : Dilwale is earning less due to clash with Bajirao but Film like BANG BANG ! earned 181 Cr despite facing clash with Haider. More examples are OSO vs Saawariya, Gadar vs Lagaan, Jthj vs SOS etc where either big films perform well or both. Some people are saying that “Bang Bang ! vs Haider” is different from “Dilwale vs Bajirao”

    HAR HAR MAHADEV

  • Dilwale around $8.75 M in overseas weekend Without BRM would have been 11M and without starwars even more. KING of overseas SRK…

  • Dilwale has performed below par alot of distributors will suffer some loses.
Dilwale won’t benefit alot from christmas weekend since mega blockbuster is releasing and BM has a good WOM,i think BM my surpass Dilwale during the christmas weekend.
