Detective Byomkesh Bakshy Trailer

On actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s 29th birthday, Yash Raj Films have release the theatrical trailer of his upcoming film ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshy’.

Quick review: Set in the middle of the second World War in Calcutta, Detective Byomkesh Bakshy tells the story of one of Calcutta’s greatest detectives. Director Dibaker Banerjee, who has previously directed films like ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla’ and ‘Oye Lucky Lucky Oye’, has successfully recreate the far more innocent era of the 1940’s.

Sushant’s costumes and styling goes well with the character that he plays on-screen and the actor seems to have delivered a fantastic performance too. The trailer could have been a little shorter to enhance the impact as it trends to meander along in between. Overall, a film that we cannot wait to watch. April 2 2015.

  • Good to see Sushant going for good content films unlike one so called “Future Superstar” who recently delivered a torturous film.

  • From the trailer, the Movie Detective Byomkesh Bakshi looks like a well-crafted film.
The background score and Costume Design are looking impressive too!
Movie will have a consistancy throughout its length!

Hope for the Best. Dibaker Banarjee is an underrated director! His last film Shanghai was one of the best films of 2012,but it was underrated and didn’t receive appriciation like Barfi,Kahaani,English Vinglish,Vicky Donor,GOW,PST etc despite being an equally good movie.

    My rating is also 3.5!

  • Good Trailer. Sushant is looking different. I liked him in PK also where he acted better than Aamir. Best Of Luck Sushant & Dibakar Banergee.

  • the name detective byomkesh bakshi is enough for me !!! eagerly waiting…

@indicine loving your new look but recent comments feature is missing..! that was a smart feature!

  • Bad release date went against shanghai because of rowdy rathore wave across nation. Also some scenes like wiping politician’s face with black paint for 1 long minute in slow motion can ridicule anybody …

  • Looking forward to this movie and it looks like Sushant really did take this role seriously. And hopefully the movie up to the standard of this trailer.

  • @indicine I will rate this trailer 4/5.
It is too good trailer. But release date is not good because same day fast and furious 7 is also releasing.

  • i dont wanna see any masala movie in 2015…tevar gone and now all future releases from low to high budget all are looking interesting.

  • Class!!
    Such a dashing natural actor!
D only dude among d media called youngistaan whose movie am gonna watch online as soon as it releases!!

  • Sushant was brilliant in Kai Po Che !!!!! But he lost it after Shuddh Desi Romance. I somewhat dont like him since SDR.

  • INDICINE YOU HAVE MISSED TO WRITE ONE MORE THING, is a fictional detective in Bengali literature created by Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay.

  • @indicine its great you started to rate trailer too.Its good to see your rating for DBB trailer.
Don’t know but I didn’t liked the trailer, I simply didn’t connected with trailer and didn’t exite a bit while watching it which I supposed I should for a detective thriller film.Yes the film looks like a 40s Kolkata and Sushant is looking good.
When dibakar is director you are expecting good cinema. So looking forward to this film.
@hrithik hmm I too liked him Kai po che but SDR was a poor film for me. I liked Vaani in that film while completely disliked Shushant and Parineeti. But among the newcomer he is only who had strong lineups like DBB,Paani,MSD biopic etc.Loved to see that he is only among new bees who has variety in begining of his career.
