Delhi Belly collections have exceeded expectations for Week 1 and the film is easily Imran Khan’s biggest opener ever. Business is outstanding all over, even at places where it wasn’t expected to do so well. Collections in Mysore territory is better than any film in 2011 (yes, collections are higher than Ready too).
According to BOI, the nett collections for Week 1 is Rs 36.45 crores. But most trade sources quote an even higher figure, somewhere close to the Rs 40 crore mark. The official numbers haven’t yet been revealed by Aamir Khan productions.
- Friday – 6.05 crores
- Saturday – 7.10 crores
- Sunday – 8.10 crore nett
- Monday – 4.60 crores
- Tuesday – 4.05 crores
- Wednesday – 3.50 crores
- Thursday – 3.05 crores
Week 1 Total – 36.45 crores
For an English film, dubbed in Hindi, these are huge numbers. Almost everyone in the trade expected Delhi Belly to do and easy beat competition from the other release last week – Buddha Hoga Tera Baap – But going past the first week collections of Double Dhamaal and beating the collections of Ready in a territory was something that was totally unexpected.
Yet another winner for Aamir Khan Productions, the man behind the company is a genius and as of now whatever he touches is turning into box office gold!
Murder 2 this week is unlikely to affect Delhi Belly, it should continue its good run for another week or so. If Murder 2 and Delhi Belly continue their good run, will it affect Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara? What do you think? Tell us below in the comments section
No Doubt that Amir Khan is the best producer of India and hatts of to him(and Imran must be lucky to have such a mamu)………But also full point to BIGB for the success of BHTBaap taht even after pitted against Bollywood giant(AKP) and HOLLYWOOD Giant (trandformer3) interms of screens, it performed very well and is rock steady during weekdays and second weekend…….BIGB and AAMIR rocK!!!!!!!
delhi belly is huge, imran khan was excellant in the movie. Take a bow to legend Aamir khan. DB’s total domestic collections for week one are around 47 cror and around 10 cror overseas.. Total 57 cror in opening week, which is Humangous. VerDict=SuPeR HIT…. now thats the real picture… On the other hand BUddha failed miserabely at the box office and the Verdict is FlOp…. DiGest it in ur BeLLY.
Yessssss; Delhi Belly is a Superhit that’s what i wanted, yippiee, congrats to you Aamir, hats off, and Imran for the first time acted well, it was truely a quality film, enough of spanding our money in Akshay’s insane silly comedies that are lowering the class of acting Hindi cinema, we want QUALITY,

Imran Khan’s box office pull is under-rated. His last few films have done well, much better than some of his contemporaries like Shahid, Abhishek, John and others. As of now, only Ranbir seems to be ahead of Imran..

BHTBaap promos came much after the song of DB became rage and became hugely popular in youth……but still it managed to recover its cost of production in week one……the hype of DB was much more and even then after being pitted against Amir Khan production and transformer3, it is a profitable venture……BIGB is the only SOLO actor in the history of Indian cinema at 69…….HE ROCKS!!!!….and full respect to mr perfectionist aamir…….
i gotta say this ,Delhi belly is simply an awesome movie. the first caper comedy from bollywood and who produced the movie none other than Mr perfectionist.. yes u got it right Aamir khan … with all the respect 2 big b he shouldn’t have released his movie parallel 2 Aamir khan’s. that was not thoughtful from the big b part. @Indicine Team: yes you are right Imran Khan is doing very well at box office, but his BO pull is underrated because his performances were not impressive but i myself think he acted very very well in DB and for the first time, his performance overshadowed any of his last, he suited the role immensily, but i must say he’s too lucky to have a Mumu like Aamir, and to act in a film like DB, wonder why Ranbir rejected it(he was teh first choice if i’m not wrong), i hope Imran chooses more mature roles in future like Ranbir teh future superstar!. Ranbir is of course now one the most telented and successful young actors in Bollywood, one only watches him in WUS, APKGK, Rocket Singh and Raajneeti remains speechless!! coz he has done what other senior actors couldn’t! He will collect the Black Lady very soon undoubtedly.
And Imran he has everything: looks, popularity, stardom…he needs now to work on his acting skills to find a place in the industry among his contemporaries and be accepted in the industry. I hope he will go Ranbir’s way. Anyways all the best for him.
Finally? bollywood is coming of age … A comedy which doesn’t treat its audience like imbecile idiots who are supposed to leave their brains outside the theater… A true successor of “Jaane bhi do yaaro” from the 1980’s .. but even more crazier, whackier and damn funnier !!!!
And people who have problems with the language.. its the lingo you see everyday on the streets .. if you cant digest it, don’t see it .. its rated for mature adults anyways ..
In short DB rocks !!!
Delhi Belly is hit.. but itz a not family movie due to vulgure & abusing language.. this movie crossed all limits not for vulgure scene but specially abusing language.. what nonsense words use in new movie .. i am really amazed such a stupid fun, dialoge and character… Although Imran Khan looking cute.

I think delhi belly is entertainment film but this is only youth film this film is not going to cenema hall with family. after one week film collection is good. but singham is good opening and he is copy of dabbang and wanted and ajay devgan is back to action and he is successful.
