One matinee show screened at 11:30AM is running to packed houses at the Maratha Mandir since October 20 1995!

It will be interesting to see if Yash Raj Films has a grand celebration planned on the day the film completes 1000 successful weeks.

  • To think that for over 950 weeks Maratha Mandir have lost so much money bcoz of their poor business decision of playing this movie over n over n over n over again again n again n again etc etc

    CEO should be sacked…

Fav moment- undoubtedly when Amrish Puri slaps Srk

On a serious note- fav moment was kuljeet and Anupam Khers chemistry in Punjab- that was funny stuff…

  • But i liked Veer Zaara and Kal Ho naa ho more than DDLJ…they were better stories than DDLJ and also SRK acted better in these 2 compared to DDLJ..

  • The best romantic film ever made in the history of indian cinema, i was just 1yr old when ddlj released n i watched the film over 1000times

  • Very good news that DDLJ is completing 1000 weeks on december 18 and this time i m supporting Srk and will celebrate this occasion by watching ‘PK’ on december 19.lol

  • @Navin Also ticket rates there r very cheap even parking rates of single screen theatres r higher than that but the people waching DDLJ in maratha mandir does not need to park bcoz they have not even a cycle to park there and they come there walking to watch DDLJ.lol

  • Biggest hit of Indian cinema
    SRK rules

There are many fav moments but the best one is SRK coming to Punjab and singing tujhe dekha toh and how can anyone forget the iconic train scene in the end

Best love story ever made :)

  • Oh yes.It made us happy coz DDLJ was one of the best movie of bollywood and my favorite scene was our king giving hand to kajol for boarding train and that scene was so popular that our king done that scene again in chennai express and this time not only women but mens also were desperate and our king also helped mens to board train with romantic music in background

  • Most overrated hindi film, average at best but you will understand the craze for DDLJ when craps like Bodyguard, Chennai Express and Dhoom3 earn a lot of money at the box office.
Actually films like 3 Idiots, Chak De and Tere Naam deserve this kind of (1000 wk) screening.

  • Undoubtedly the best romantic movie ever by the king of romance. Its really tough to find the favorite moment but i think srk’s arrival in india with tuje dekha ha to jana sanam was the best one. I hv watched this movie more than 10 times.

  • A record, which is likely to be remain unbroken in future. Whatever people say about this achievement, but no one should forget that this is the first and probably last movie of Bollywood which has been running since last 1000 weeks.

  • I will b happy if any indian movie win oscar..PK will win oscars and movie like tere naam deserves 1000 week….big big…loooolz…even 3idiots dont deserves 100 weeks…the movie like chak de india and rang de bansanti deserves more thn 1000 weeks :-)
