Aamir Khan’s Dangal has become the first Indian film to cross the $50 million mark overseas and it could also become the first film to collect $100 million (Rs 650 crore) too – as the film is showing unbelievable trends in China.
The Tuesday collections in China is better than its Monday business and the word-of-mouth is said to be extraordinary. The 5-day collections in China is more than the lifetime overseas business of all films barring the Top 9 (list below).
With little or no competition in the next few weeks in the Chinese markets, trade estimates are now putting the China collections of the film at $60-70 million.
If it does cross $65 million in China, Dangal will become the first Indian film to collect $100 million overseas – as the collections from Phase 1 (traditional markets) was $30 million.
The combined collections from China and Taiwan could well exceed the $70 million mark, giving the film a realistic chance of crossing $100 million.
That would give the film several records; first Indian film to cross $100 million overseas, first Hindi film to gross 1000 crore worldwide and it would also more than double the previous highest overseas grosser.

Out of 25 films Srk has 10 and Aamir has 5.
Combined total of Srk’s films is 150 million dollar while aamir has around 156 and dangal still adding which could take it to 200 million dollar.
Figures are enough to prove the over seas stardom.
Chinese markets will only work with strong Dubai connections. Most Indian trade experts hoping that this will help other movies are living in Alice in wonderland dreams. 99.9% of other movies will not even do 1 million in China including Baahubali 2.

Comparing overseas collection with domestic collection.in this way Dangal also crossed Gangu teli Salman’s Flop Ho.
People are following BOI blindly and saying that producers don’t earn much. That’s completely false. China box office has clarified it on Twitter. Producers earn 25% of the total collection. So if it earns $60 million Aamir will take home $15 million which is a huge a amount. Aamir is not stupid to sell his movie for peanuts after PK did so well in China. He also went there to promote it which he wouldn’t do if considerable money wasn’t involved. BOI as usual is trying to pull Dangal down. That site is toxic.

I seriously don’t understand why Salman is not releasing his movies (BB and Sultan) in China and other market like Aamir……I am sure it will do good collection there….If Srk crap movies HNY, Dilwale, FAN can release their than Salman’s BB and Sultan are much much better movies…..
I asked this so many times to Indicine also that why Salman is not releasing his movies in China, what’s the problem, but they never reply or answer……Even I heard that after FAN release YRF will release Sultan in China, but nothing happen……

HAHK was the first movie to open overseas market for Hindi movies. However Salman didnt capitalize on it by working on NRI based stories and continuously working with big banners during late 90’s and early 2000’s !!!!!!! Now Aamir have completely dominated overseas and he should be credited for opening China market, he deserves all collections and success !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lallu was a 2010 born star that’s why no one bothered about him in overseas…!!
Dangal is a highly overrated film. Its all packaging. Saala Khadoos was better than Dangal. But no packaging = No Big money. Dangal is a good film no doubt. But its overrated by Indicine and Aamir fans.
