Dangal 2nd Monday Box Office Collections

Aamir Khan’s Dangal is proving to be unstoppable at the domestic box office, as the film has collected Rs 13.45 crore on its second Monday. The 11-day total now stands at just a few lakhs below the Rs 285 crore mark, which has made the film the 4th highest grosser of all time.

Dangal has raced past the lifetime collections of Dhoom 3 and is currently below PK (341 crore), Bajrangi Bhaijaan (321 crore) and Sultan (301 crore).

On Wednesday, it will be only the 4th film to cross the 300 crore mark. Dangal will also be the fastest film to get to the milestone, in just 13 days after its theatrical release on December 23.

  • Wow, now it looks like Dangal is contesting on its own to create the 400 cr club.

    Aamir Creates a club ……..Salman Repeats !!!! 100 cr

    Aamir Creates a higher club……Salman repeats !!! 200 cr

Aamir Creates an even higher club – Salman repeats twice this time !!!! 300 cr

Now, Aamir creates a different level club altogether – Will Salman repeat??? 400 cr

An interesting competition between the two and most importantly no love lost between the two.

If Aamir or Salman does a Dhoom……in todays time…it will definitely fetch 500 cr in just two weeks.

  • if only content was the king then all movies of irffan khan, nawazuddin, manoj bajpayee,kk menon were 100 cr grossers or more. its aamir + content jo pure bollywood pe bhari h. without aamirs stardom this films has not gone that much high. accept the facts. without aamir good movies are called undergrosser movies.

  • If anyone is king in bollywood it is CONTENT.I think there is not a single people in INDIA who does not like Dangel.Thank you team dangel and amir khan for giving us such an outstanding movie.

  • People actually don’t understand how phenomenal the success of dangal is!

Aamir did not go to TV shows, interviews and paid awards. No carpet bomb marketing was done. There is cash crunch due to Demonetization.
Unknown Director, actors, real treatment to story, no melodrama and over the top acting like Sultan, No one man show in film, Absence of top actress, Director etc. So many factors….

SRK and Salman go all over media to promote their films. For Raees, SRK is doing two episodes of BIG BOSS with Salman. SRK needs Salman to promote his films. SRK and SK work with only big directors, big actresses, abroad locations, blockbuster music….

  • Aamir Khan is a dreamer. His films are great adventures for one’s soul. There is not a single dull moment in Dangal. Dangal is rooted in reality yet works as a fantasy. Aamir Khan’s honesty, sincerity and a keen understanding of cinema lends a rare purity to his films. We are often used to seeing adulterated cinema. As an audience, we sometimes become victims of filmmakers’ deceitful and misleading visions.
