Colors Screen Awards 2013 Nominations

The nominations for Colors Screen Awards 2012 / 2013 are out. Anurag Basu’s Barfi has received the most number of nominations, followed by English Vinglish and Vicky Donor.

Surprisingly, the very best (and most deservingly) films of the year have received the Best Film nominations. Popular films like Agneepath, Rowdy Rathore, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Dabangg 2, Talaash and Ek Tha Tiger have not been nominated. Probably the first time in a long time, A.R. Rahman hasn’t been nominated in the Best Music category.

  • These all awards are fake.

    And its biggest example is,
At Star Screen Awards Sania Mirza won best sport person award where as Saina Nehwal & other nominees performed 1000% better than Sania in Olympics 2012 & medals won by them are proof of it.
But still Sania won the award.

I think its sufficient for every Indian who taking these awards seriously.

  • SRK and Ranbir wining awards because they blive on profomance not lik Sallu ajay akshay come at big screen only for jokes and funny moments like comedy ceircus and SRK MNIK and CDI prformances were national award wining prformance but did not giv him and ur ana hazary and all country standing for croption so how can you say that National awards are Save bcoz ur sallu nt wining awards so these are fake lol

  • after long time genuine nomination are done..this will bring back the pride of awards in india if all will continue like this

  • Some people will really be on cloud nine if I say “Salman Khan doesn’t have a single clear hit throughout his whole career. He has almost 100% films flops. I, too, wonder how he can survive in the industry so far. Perhaps because of his father being a famous person in Bollywood. Besides, he doesn’t know how to act and cry in the movies, which mean acting to those people. Only, SRK has the 100% hit films in his career. He is the self-made person because he has never taken anyone’s help to get into industry as all of sudden he got the ticket to get into the industry by magic. His films worked only because of him even when he was not famous. DDLJ worked because of SRK, not because of Yashraj, even though he was not so famous then.” And these people are really afraid of the truth. Or maybe they are in delusion.

    A) Salman has done 73 films so far (including special appearances and excluding cameos). Of them, the following are flops.

    1. Biwi Ho To Aisi
    2. Love
    3. Suryavanshi
    4. Ek Ladka Ek Ladki
    5. Nishchaiy
    6. Chandra Mukhi
    7. Dil Tera Aashiq
    8. Andaz Apna Apna
    9. Chaand Kaa Tukdaa
    10. Sangdil Sanam
    11. Veergati
    12. Khamoshi: The Musical
    13. Auzaar
    14. Hello Brother
    15. Chal Mere Bhai
    16. Kahin Pyaar Na Ho Jaaye
    17. Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge
    18. Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge
    19. Tumko Na Bhool Payengi,
    20. Yeh Hai Jalwa,
    21. Dil Ne Jisse Apna Kaha,
    22. Kyon Ki,
    23. Shaadi Karke Phaas Gaya Yaar,
    24. Jaan-E-Mann,
    25. Marigold,
    26. God Tussi Great Ho,
    27. Yuvvraaj,
    28. London Dreams,
    29. Main Aur Mrs Khanna
    30. Veer
    31. Phir Milengi
    32. Saawaan
    33. Baabul
    34. Salam-E-Ishq
    35. Sawaariya,
    36. Heroes
Therefore, around 49% of his films were flops.

    B) SRK has done 62 films so far (including special appearances and excluding cameos). Of them, the following are flops.

    1. Idiot
    2. Chamatkar
    3. Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman
    4. Dil Aashna Hai
    5. Maya Memsaab
    6. King Uncle
    7. Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa
    8. Anjaam
    9. Zamana Deewana
    10. Guddu
    11. Oh Darling! Yeh Hai India!
    12. Ram Jaane
    13. Trimurti
    14. English Babu Desi Mem
    15. Chaahat
    16. Army
    17. Dushman Duniya Ka
    18. Gudgudee
    19. Koyla
    20. Achanak
    21. Dil Se
    22. Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani
    23. Hey Ram
    24. Gaja Gamini
    25. One 2 Ka 4
    26. Asoka
    27. Shakti: The Power
    28. Yeh Lamhe Judaai Ke
    29. Kuch Meetha Ho Jaaye
    30. Paheli
    31. Bhoothnath
    32. Billu
    33. Dulha Mil Gaya
Therefore, around 53% of his films were flops.

Moreover, some people in their ignorance are saying that SRK did not deliver any flop films in last 12 years. SRK did 21 films with full fledged roles from 2001 to 2011. Of them, four films (i.e. One Two Ka Four, Asoka, Yeh Lamhe Judaayi Ki, Paheli) were utter flops. Besides, Swades and MNIK were average grossers in India. And in the same time period, SRK did five films in supporting roles (i.e. Shakti, Kuch Meetha Hojaye, Bhootnath, Billu and Dulha Mil Gaya). (Films with SRK in cameo roles are not included here.) All of these films were flops. On the other hand, Salman did 27 films with full-fledged roles within the same period. Out of them, Salman gave 12 film flops such as Tumko Na Bhool Payengi, Yeh Hai Jalwa, Dil Ne Jisse Apna Kaha, Kyon Ki, Shaadi Karke Phaas Gaya Yaar, Jaan-E-Mann, Marigold, God Tussi Great Ho, Yuvvraaj, London Dreams, Main Aur Mrs Khanna and Veer. Other films which I have not mentioned here were not flops. He did 6 films with supporting roles. These are: Baghbaan, Phir Milengi, Saawaan, Baabul, Sawaariya, Heroes. Of them, besides, Baghbaan and Baabul (an average grosser), the rest were flops. Films with Salman in cameo roles are not included here.

So, in a nutshell, from 2001 to 2012, in leading roles, SRK had 19.1% flops and Salman had 44.44% flops. While In supporting roles within the same time, SRK had 100% flops and Salman had 67% flops. At the same time, we can’t ignore the fact that Salman, within 2001 to 2011, worked mostly with small banners and new directors. There were only two known directors with whom Salman worked within the period. They are David Dhawaan and Subash Ghai (in his downfall period). While, SRK worked with SLB, Yash Chopra, Ashutosh Gowariker, Karan Johar, Aditya Chopra etc. It will be arbitrary if anyone compares the number of flops of Salman with that of SRK under such different circumstances.

Above all, one should not forget that Salman gave maximum hits in the beginning of his career and SRK did maximum flops. Overall, Salman has done more films and so he has more flops, while SRK has done less films (that too with big banners) and so he has less flops. (The more you eat, the more you shit. The less you eat, the less you shit.) Similarly, Salman has more hits and blockbusters than SRK has because he (Salman) has more films. All in all, if we calculate on the basis of the total number of films they have done, Salman has more flops than SRK has. And if we compare on the basis of the PERCENTAGE of the total number of films they have done, SRK has bigger percentage in flops. So, anyone should get the facts right first before bluffing anything in public domain. And we should be afraid of saying the truth. With offence to no one, I find hypocrisy mostly in SRK’s fans perhaps because they don’t want to say and express the weaker part of their beloved icon.

  • @SRK

Bro tell me how can Sania Mirza(Not a Single medal in Olympics 2012) gets award over other players who won minimum one medal at Olympics 2012.

No wonder for me if you say,’The Olympic organisers are corrupt’.

  • @ 72 singh…thats what i’m saying u exaggerated salman’s flops….& i exaggerated srk’s flops …simple!!!

  • Salman, Akshay,Ajay r big actors as they give successful movies with new directors, new banners while srk done mostly successful movies with established directors & producers expect KJO (while his banner Dharma Productions already established) and Farah Khan but Aamir is the one who give successful movies with new directors and producers like:
    Lagaan with Ashutosh Gowarikar
Dil Chahta Hai with Farhan Akhtar
Rang De Basanti with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra
    Fanaa with Kunal Kohli
    Sarfarosh with John Mathew Mathan
    1947- earth with Deepa Mehta
Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar with Mansoor Khan
    Rangeela with RGV
    Ghulam with Vikram Bhatt
    Raja Hindustani with Dharmesh Darshan
Andaj Apna Apna (only comedy movie of Raj kumar santoshi at that time cult classic)

so above this list u can understand when Aamir have guts to do movies with new directors and banners and most of these directors done movies with srk and others but did not delivered that kind of product they delivered with Aamir and here i m not including 3 idiots with raju hirani and every one know this is also Raju’s best product which come with Aamir.
the only failure of Aamir is with Yash ji with Parampara when a big director of like Yashji not able to produce best product with him
Aamir also done other movies with new director which was not hits but here i m not including as those director will not become established director as these r….
so Aamir is best in All………..

  • fake awards with fake nominations y not OMG included in Best film Category
Barfi is very good movie but it is COpy of most hollywood films but hwne it got so many nomination than y not OMG
where is Paresh Rawla in best actor’s list
where is Sonu Nigam not included for Abhi Mujh me kahin song for Agneepath and Vishal Dadlani for Jee le Jara (Talaash) in male Singer nominations
for best actor it is Hrithik Roshan all the way as Aamir will not get award as he is not going for awards Ranbir was Good but well below than Irfan Khan (PST) and HR (Agneepath)
i here took HR name because we all know IRfan is not mainstream actor so colors will not give him Award ahed of Ranbir or HR
but hr is more desrving than Ranbir………….

  • each and every article and poles srk fans r more active and always srk or his movies gets max votes

here but when it comes to appreciation and collection of movies srk movies underperformed every time

so srk fan try to watch srk movies in theatres not in youtube so when Salman or other actor’s movies

doing good businees more than Srk’s at that time u can’t depressed hahahhaa
my bet is definitely Dhoom-3 will rock Big time and next is Salman’s next whether it will kick or

someone else than Krishh3 no chance for srk because as per BOI collection on that time it will not

surpass even 100 cr collection in domestic and when overseas collection will come out of CI than Srk

fans will say that overseas audience r Sadakchap, ganwar bla bla bla hahhaaaa grow up Srk and his

    fans….

  • Reema Kagti or Katgi deserves to be among best directors for her amazing direction in Talaash.

the song Jeele zara from Talash is a very nice song.. it should be among best songs of 2012.

nothing special about the cinematography of the movie Kahaani!!!!!!!!! why it has been nominated?!!

I don’t agree for the nominations of best background music!! there were many many good musics in 2012 other than those which have been nominated in this list!!

Agneepath should be among best story category too, not only best action

Did they forget about Bipasha, as one of the best actresses of 2012 for her movie (Raaz 3)?!!! she deserves to be among them!!

  • nominations are good this time but who is the winner that is the main thing to see

My Best actor is Aamir Khan, but Ranbir truly deserve the best actor catagory.

It is not necessary that who is our best can win the award, we should appreciate their acting skills & best perfomance.

  • When amitabh bacchan got filmfare awards, then no one says anything,bt wen the same award is won by srk, then everyone start barking that he buys award,y so jeleasouly,he has won international awards also which were given to few people,if u dnt like srk, then plz keep quite,y need to show ur standard

  • I think it is worthwhile to note exactly what you want to say and what you’re saying, the essential weakness of your case is conspicuous , apart from bare minority most are not one-timer (debutant) directors and some had carved a niche for when they had the chance to work with Amir, i for one have no problem liking someone but not to the point of exaggerating his/her true worth, i have a healthy disrespect for that!

  • the award must go to manoj and irrfan (gangs of wasseypur-paan singh tomar) a TIE……..for their brilliant acting.
