Celina Jaitley’s experiences with Red

The movie Red has been one big learning experience for Celina. Here is what the actress thinks about the dark side of love.

Vikram Bhatt?s forthcoming film Red is a tale of fear, seduction and betrayal. And Celina Jaitley who plays a young, gorgeous, sexy and a lonely widow in the film has a lot of memories related to the film. She loves her reel character Anahita and feels that it has helped her personally in real life.

According to her Red reflects the darker side of every emotion that we all are not aware of. Celina herself was going through a rough phase in her personal life when she signed Red. She just broke up with her California-based boyfriend Sean Teague, whom she met through Feroz Khan during the shooting for Jaanasheen. ?Everybody learns from their mistakes. Life is about lessons and sometimes you make the same mistakes over and over again till you give up. That?s life!? repents Celina

?Red was a very emotionally challenging film for me since I was personally going through a lot in my life. Now when I see the film I feel my entire personal crisis really worked for the film. All I can say is that it?s very difficult to bring out the darker aspects of every emotion because you don?t even know what is dark in you and Red explores those emotions.?
So is that what attracted Celina to sign Red? ?Honestly, when Vikram Bhatt calls you for a specific role that itself attracts you a lot. I was bit scared that the role would be emotionally challenging for me. But I guess life at that point, when I started shooting for this film, took a weird turn. Personally my life was going haywire. I was mentally disturbed when I was doing that film. When I see the film now, I can?t believe that it?s me in the movie because it is so not me,? she reveals.
Celina feels her character Anahita helped her to release all the emotional baggage that was concealed in her. Speaking about the same she says, ?The movie has helped me personally and my personal crisis helped my film. What I did in the film has helped me to heal emotionally. And the time the movie was over I think the emotional baggage was also over because I guess I cried so much in the film that a lot of my emotions came out with it. So now I am at peace with myself. I think sometime things are just right at the right moments.?
Seven films old Celina feels that she has a long way to go. ?I don?t select my movies; my movies select me. Every time I attempt to select a movie, the role goes to Aishwarya?, complains Celina on a funny note. ?I like doing comedy films but after Red I?ll go for serious roles as well. That is my dark side and I just want to let my dark side come out less often than my lighter and brighter side.?
