Celebrating 9 years of Kal Ho Na Ho

9 Years Kal Ho Na Ho

9 years ago, on this day, Nikhil Advani’s Kal Ho Na Ho released in theatres worldwide. The film did well at the box office and years later remains one of Shahrukh Khan’s best films.

The film is close to producer Karan Johar’s heart, as it was the last film in which he worked together with his father, the late Yash Johar. The film also holds immense value in the careers of all the lead actors as they are still remembered for their characters – Shah Rukh Khan (Aman Mathur), Saif Ali Khan (Rohit Patel) and Preity Zinta (Naina).

Karan Johar tweeted “9 years to Kal ho naa ho.. the last film my father helmed at dharma productions.. an ironic title of a very special to me.. always..”

Kal Ho Na Ho is best remembered for it’s title song, sung by Sonu Nigam and picturized on Shahrukh Khan. Watch the song below!

@ all other people u notice something….

every actor in his peak phase has a certain aura in films he does at that phase:-

rajesh khanna :- anand, mere jeevan saathi, aap ki kasam

amitaabh :- don, naseeb

salman :- maine pyar kiya, sajjan, ett, dabangg

shahrukh:- kkhh,kal ho na ho

aamir:- 3i, lagaan, tzp

akshay:- bhool bhulaiya, namaste london

ajay:- ouatim, golmaal

hritik:- dhoom2,znmd

etc….really these films according to me r stand out films of these actors…

i mean actually if even u hate some actor..like i hate srk…but if u watch above mentioned films of srk….u may like him a bit….so i think these r some pathbreakin films of these actors…

-from a salman fan….
@ indicine team am i right?

The best emotional movie of all time….I was in class 10 when I saw the movie, now I’m in post graduation, still feel the emotion. I’ve seen this movie for at least 10-12 times only for SRK & PZ. Preity Zinta looks like an angel in this film & the acting of SRK was out of the world.

Recently, Shahrukh Khan’s “Jab Tak Hai Jan” has hit theaters but instead of enjoying life and taking some rest after the big hit SRK has begun shooting for another movie. Shahrukh’s upcoming movie “Chennai Express” will bring SRK and Deepika Padukone together after “Om Shanti Om” (2007). Chennai Express is an action and romantic film directed by Rohit Shetty of “Golmaal” fame. Other than the lead roles Sathyaraj and Manorama will also appear in the movie. SRK and Rohit Shetty first teamed up for a remake of the 1982 film “Angoor”. After Shetty’s blockbuster “Singham”, he begun working on the film but left it mid-way. At that time, he had the script of Chennai Express ready to be narrated to SRK as a backup. After the narration of the script, SRK was so impressed with the idea of Chennai Express that he agreed to star in it. Chennai Express’ development pushed back the remake of Angoor. The shooting has begun and reportedly the movie will release on Diwali next year.
