Answer: Aamir Khan came very close – Taare Zameen Par, Ghajini, 3 Idiots and Dhoom 3 were all blockbusters or better, but he also had one not-so-successful film in between (Talaash). It just goes to show that attaining blockbuster status is incredibly difficult and doing so 5 times in a row speaks volumes of Salman Khan’s super-stardom.

Also, the bigger problem is, when one or two films of an actor goes on to be a blockbuster, the cost-of-production, marketing and the actor’s fee also sky-rockets, which makes it increasingly difficult just to recover costs.
Having said that, the future is always unpredictable, which is what makes it exciting. Will there ever be another Salman Khan? Probably not, because the craze that he commands in the smaller towns and villages in India is unmatched. He is not loved in those parts, he is worshipped.

here is a formula of blockbuster movie, lead actor should have strong body, he should rip his shirt each time to demonstrate his body, men should fly on the air like ball by one punch of lead actor, vulgar item songs, flying cars, cheap nonsence jokes, lead actor is not required, its not important that he cant express his emotions, cant cry, the most important is that he can dance like clown and act this way, directors if u have all this in ur movie, ur film for sure will become blockbuster. n Indian audience, whats wrong with ur taste? Cult movies like aaa, swades, mangal pandey, legend of bhagat singh,mnik and others were flop or underperformed while stupid cheap masala movies like ready, bodyguard, grand masti, sr,ce,bb and others became huge box office boockbusters

Frankly speaking it can happen in future but has very less chance,most important thing for me Salman this milestone was these all hapeen only and only because of him as except Dabangg none of his film among those 5 were liked by majority,still he alone able to carry those film to rake big moolah on box office is incredible.
Srk also has back to back 6 hit films record from mnik to hny after billi debacle.His fans saying srk can break the record of late Rajesh Khanna 15 hit in a row but I think its fool to compare srk hit string to Rajesh sir milestone. Reason is simple Rajesh ji achieved that molesting in 3 year duration and when srk if he achieve than it will happen in 2017,so 11 years not a landmark.
Other thing the business scenario as if ra1,don2 and jthj wouldn’t be holiday release than they couldn’t be a hit there verdict is similar to jai ho as none of these films hold and perform which was expected from them after first weekend.
Aamir khan has most difficult and unique record in history of Indian cinema as to give back to back all time grosser with Ghajini and 3i while Ghajini collected 35% more than previous highest grosser, 3i collected 40% more than Ghajini that too when both release in one month gap.
He also tie with Raj Kapoor to have 3 all time grosser under his name and if pk or any other his upcoming release became all time grosser than he with be ahead of all actors milestones in history of cinema.

salman fans are very funny, they say SRK never gave back to back bb even at his peak lol, but they forgot he was the first one in modern generation at his peak to give 3 back to back blockbusters: Chak De, OSO, RNBDJ. Also he attempts different genres and still succeeds in giving HIT films e.g. MNIK, Don 2, JTHJ, CE were all different genre HIT films with CE being ATBB. The biggest joke i read that someone said his time is over, then why CE was ATBB and HNY opened to 44.97 crore opening day and 108.86 cr weekend which are records? If he was no longer a superstar then CE wud have been at best a hit and HNY would have opened to 25 crore max. Funny how from 2000-2009 salman was giving flops and disasters left and right and wasnt even in top 10 sometimes yet lallu fans never said his time is over, now SRK is still giving HIT films with different genres even ATBB CE and they say his time is over. Tell lallu to do CDI, MNIK and JTHJ and make them at least hits, trust me he will not even get average. lol, too much fun!
